I was really not expecting much for the only hotel in a one horse town, especially at such a low rate. We were blown away. It was an older, row-type motel like you see in the movies. It was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, there was a refrigerator. We spent twice as much the following night for accommodations... More

On Monday 12/29/15, I attempted twice between 2pm and 4 pm to rent a room but the office was closed with a note left that the staff was out to lunch. I was hunting with family in the area so after the evening hunt, I again returned (around 6:15 pm) to rent a room and the same note was on... More

I came here because I'd just left Del Rio travelling north, and didn't want to continue much longer as darkness would soon be falling. Usually I dread staying in these roadside motels, as normally they are not clean or modern, but this one was an exception. The room was modern and clean, no bugs or insects, and the air conditioning... More

I stayed here on a bike trip across Texas. This place was pretty good (and great compared to other such motels). Very clean and well decorated. Wifi worked very well for me. Other reviewers have said that there's no facilities in Comstock, but that isn't quite true. There's a gas station with a small selection of groceries, and a new... More

You wouldn't expect such a nice place in such a small town, but seeing is believing. This little motel has been completely redone, stem to stern. It has been refurbished in a quality way. Very clean, very comfortable, and quiet. We particularly appreciated the stone-tile floor in bathroom area and super-comfortable beds. Surprise yourself by staying at this wonderful little... More

I chose to stay here because the motel was the closest place to stay near Seminole Canyon. Although the exterior is not real attractive, I was not disappointed in the room - very clean, with 2 comfortable queen beds and a good-sized refrigerator. Across the parking lot is the border patrol so I felt very safe despite the rather isolated... More

Other than the Border Patrol Station next door, there is NOTHING in Comstock other than this one story, 12 room, very unassuming motel. We already had reservations and it was too far to the next town and too far back to the last town . . . so we pulled in expecting a bad night to come. To our great... More

I stayed at this motel recently. I felt like I had found an Oasis in the desert. It was very nice inside, clean, good bed, microwave, fridge, flatscreen TV, Coffee pot with coffee and the Border Patrol office across the parking lot made me feel better about staying there alone. All in all a good experience.

Really nice except for noise from next door guests. No noise insulation between rooms. Motel clerks are very polite and go out of their way to help guests and should be paid a lot more than they are.

If you are visiting the Rock Art at the Seminole Canyon State Park Texas, and wondering what the accommodation is like at Comstock, as there is nothing else nearby, we can reassure you. This isolated motel has recently been refurbished and is excellent value. It is well furnished and clean with large rooms and is probably passed by by most... More
