Food in the restaurant was also very delicious (5 meals were eaten their and all were delicious). Cabin was clean and well appointed very secluded. (ask for the Francesca Alvarez cabin) with antique style furniture and bed, shower and a... More

Cabins, water slide, hot tub , canoes and horse back riding! This place is a nice tucked away secret it's scenic with tons of wild life. They even provide bikes at all the well decorated wood cabins.its spacious and convenient. I can't wait to go again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short weekend getaway, and it was wonderful! We booked the "Original" Lover's Package, and we were pretty impressed. The package includes all meals, and they were all delicious! My favorite was the picnic we were provided on Saturday afternoon. There was so much food packed into the picnic basket, and it was... We rented the Second Wind home in The Retreat at Artesian Lakes. It suited couples well. It had 3 separate bedrooms with queen or King beds plus another room thats good for kids with 2 twin beds with trundles. Our balcony was right over the water and alligators swam up to the house. The kids loved it! The house was... More

I love that the one room cabins are on the water with their own balcony with a porch swing. They had a gas fireplace and nice bathroom and kitchenette. We didn't stay during a weekend but some rooms come with a carriage ride and breakfast on Saturday mornings. We stayed at the Thomas J. Rusk cabin. It was on the... More

We used to go to this property when we were kids back when it was a campground. We had such fond memories that I was a little afraid of returning. Now we have wonderful memories as adults. Our cabin, the Cynthia Ann Parker, was a perfect retreat for us. Having just been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was looking for... More

I have stayed here often and conducted corporate retreats here as well. The property is beautiful. Each cabin is furnished with antiques and looks over a crystal clear artisan lake. Truly a special place and the staff go out of their way to be of service.

It has been a few years since I stayed. I have been going since it was Chain O'lakes. First, this IS camping in a cabin!! This is not a place you go to surf the net, or watch t.v! You are going to be outside and enjoy the environment! I have stayed in several different cabins over the years and... More
