My youngest son was home from school and we were invited by his girlfiends family to stay with them at this resort. They rented the Castaway Lodge house which was a rental house. The house was very nice and we had plenty of room for the 12 people that we had in our group. We fished the lakes and caught... More

My family, friends, and I have been coming to this place for years. We have always had a wonderful experience! It is perfect for couples, families, ladies weekend, and just getting away! More recently my family (parents, siblings, their children, etc.) all rented a cabin together. It was the first time we were able to spend such wonderful quality time... More

Arrived to a steak dinner and Champagne prepared and setup in our room as we arrived. Right on time too. Food in the restaurant was also very delicious (5 meals were eaten their and all were delicious). Cabin was clean and well appointed very secluded. (ask for the Francesca Alvarez cabin) with antique style furniture and bed, shower and a... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short weekend getaway, and it was wonderful! We booked the "Original" Lover's Package, and we were pretty impressed. The package includes all meals, and they were all delicious! My favorite was the picnic we were provided on Saturday afternoon. There was so much food packed into the picnic basket, and it was... We rented the Second Wind home in The Retreat at Artesian Lakes. It suited couples well. It had 3 separate bedrooms with queen or King beds plus another room thats good for kids with 2 twin beds with trundles. Our balcony was right over the water and alligators swam up to the house. The kids loved it! The house was... More

I love that the one room cabins are on the water with their own balcony with a porch swing. They had a gas fireplace and nice bathroom and kitchenette. We didn't stay during a weekend but some rooms come with a carriage ride and breakfast on Saturday mornings. We stayed at the Thomas J. Rusk cabin. It was on the... More

We used to go to this property when we were kids back when it was a campground. We had such fond memories that I was a little afraid of returning. Now we have wonderful memories as adults. Our cabin, the Cynthia Ann Parker, was a perfect retreat for us. Having just been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was looking for... More
