What do you get when you cross a Motel 6 with a government run day care? I am not sure, but I am willing to bet it would be a more pleasant place to vacation than the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, Texas. Without going into the play by play details, I will summarize my recent stay at this... more

We literally just got home from Lost Pines Resort. We booked a 2 night stay at this resort that I had wanted to stay at for quite some time. This resort boasts a very high end family friendly vacation spot. We had multiple issues but the highlights to those of you who are planning on going during the summer with... more

The caddie stole my Cartier watch from the golf cart, nobody cares about it, even the manager, just a "we will call you" "I promise we will find it" and nothing happened, I'm still waiting since may 2008. more

This hotel is a great stop near Austin. Its on beautiful grounds and a great getaway. Pool was great but very crowded. Not a very large pool. It does have a slide and a lazy river which are great for kids. We stayed alot by the pool. Eveneing attractions were smores and poolside movies. Lots of activities for a family... more

Just returned from the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Austin. Our family has stayed at both the Lost Pines in Austin and the Hill Country in San Antonio and we now prefer the Lost Pines. This is a wonderful weekend getaway for families!! I will break it down by Pros and (the very minimal) Cons. PROS: Beautiful property, different... more

We spent two nights at the Lost Pines over Memorial Day. This was our third time to stay here. There were 4 of us - two adults and two children (9 and almost 7). We used points to upgrade from a regular room to a junior suite. The kids slept in the pullout sofa bed. The suite is nice -... more

This is my second time staying at the resort. The first time was in the middle of January and it was refreshingly quiet and peaceful. This visit occurred the end of June and was a little on the crazy side. We checked in on a Sunday and there were tons of families all around, which is great because the resort... more

Check in went smoothly. They were able to check us in early (12:30) without any problems. The front desk attendant also noticed on my reservation that we were there for my husband's birthday so she upgraded our room and put us in a quieter area of the hotel (so she said). The room was very nice and spacious; bathroom had... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful. I was caught off guard because te hotel was farther out than I thought which made getting to certain Austin spots quickly a little tricky. Many of the people in my group were unable to use their cell phones while at the hotel due to... more

I love this resort for a quick family getaway. I honestly prefer it's sister property Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, because it has a little more rustic and esablished feel, but the Lost Pines is a nice alternative. As stated, the rooms are large and very well appointed and the beds are so much more comfortable than at most resorts we... more
