Old style hotel. The beds were a bit firm, but the rooms were clean and quiet, enough space, and the area felt safe (across from the Campus police Dept.). Brick walls between rooms meant we heard nothing from our neighbors. We walked the area at night to the restaurant (Feldmans - decor is a hoot), no problem. There were several... More

We stayed here two nights. This is a place to put your head down and nothing else. We checked in at 9:00 PM and left the next morning at 8:30 AM and did not return until after midnight. No coffee pot, dingy linens, carpet smelled bad, bed was old and pillows were flat. I do not know how the Buffalo... More

We stayed here just the one night mainly as we were close to the canyon. Hotel ok, room nice and clean. bed comfy. The only thing missing was no coffee making machine in room, other than that I would recommend. Close enough to walk around the town which was nice and not far to drive for the canyon.

You may read other reviews about bedbugs and other "horrors" about the Buffalo Inn. Based on our experience, nothing could be farther from the truth. Don't stay here expecting anything other than a clean place to lay your head down. This place was probably built in the 30's or 40's, but has been completely updated. Our room was comfortable, had... We stayed at the Buffalo Inn over the weekend and I was satisfied with the stay. The property is older. It reminded me of a "mom and pop" motel like you find in areas like Manitou Springs. Even though it was old, it was clean. The parking lot was clean. No trash laying around. The room was clean and it... More

Any experienced road warrior knows that an old, 50's era hotel can be a crapshoot. It could be pleasant and quaint, or your room could look like a medieval torture arena and a successful evening means waking up alive in the morning. Well, the Buffalo Inn falls under the former. It's small, cute, and very well kept. Although not on... More

Hubby and I decided to do a "Blue Highway" road trip of the Texas plains and found ourselves visiting Palo Duro Canyon, a little farther north than intended. We didn't want to go up to Amarillo to stay overnight so I finally found the Canyon, TX Chamber's phone number in a brochure. Buffalo Inn was suggested among other ideas so... More

What a bargain! I chose this motel based on the reviews here. It was a great choice! The room and bathroom were clean, spotless! This is an old property, but there are some surprising upgrades...flat screen tv, good wifi, hair dryer in bathroom, and micro-fridge. I would absolutely stay here again!

After staying a few nights at the local B&B, we moved to Buffalo Inn for our last night in town. The price was great and even better with a AAA discount! Both the inside and outside were very well maintained; our room was immaculate and had absolutely no smells or odors. Most of the decor was neat, simple, and old... More
