Hudspeth House was the perfect home away from home for our 3 day Easter week-end. Jill and Van are excellent hosts and the fabulous breakfasts fueled our 'expeditions' to Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon State Parks. This is in the Top 10 of the many B&B's we've experienced. Hudspeth is definitely on the 'return again someday' list.

Spent a long Easter week-end with our hosts, Jill & Van... What a delight ! The food was fabulous, and Jill & Van were helpful & attentive, without being intrusive. Our room was cozy & well appointed, with lots of natural light and sweet, cool breezes. This is a huge, historic home with lots of rooms that could accommodate a... More

The breakfast alone (French toast with strawberry cream cheese filling) would have made our stay in the Hudspeth House memorable, but the owners, Jill and Van, and the other guests we got to know at breakfast were the best part. Our room, the Hudspeth Room (the only guest room on the first floor), was very comfortable—exactly as described. Another reviewer... More

My husband and I stayed two nights for a wedding anniversary. We had a great stay. The hosts are wonderful--friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious, and the room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The house is a gem. Highly recommended!

Jill and Van are wonderful hosts. The house itself is a treasure: high ceilings, fabulous stained glass, hard-wood floors. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Cookies and iced tea are served in the afternoon. And the breakfasts are excellent: waffles with bananas, green chile eggs. Delicious. The house is centrally located a few blocks from the town square. It's on... More

We had the King-sized attic room, and it was absolutely wonderful. Spacious, the bathroom had a free-standing tub, and the light blue motif was relaxing after all the Palo Duro hiking. The canyon was closed one of the days we were there (weather) and we had no problem spending the whole day watching movies in the room (bring your own... More

So glad you enjoyed The Loft room...it is actually my favorite. I guess the weather forced the Canyon to close while you were here. Please come again so you can enjoy this magnificent outdoor beauty! More

The Inn keepers were very kind to let us check-in at 8PM which was later than their normal check-in hours. Please note that we did verify with the Inn prior to booking our reservation that this would not be a problem. Jill pleasantly said that it would not. Awesome! I was shocked when Jill called a couple days before our... More

We stayed here in May and had a wonderful time. We have never stayed in a B&B before so were worried it would be a little awkward, Jill and Van set our worries at ease, it really was like visiting old friends! Hudspeth House was very charming with an interesting history. Our first room was very quaint, beautifully decorated with... More

Our experience at Hudspeth House was good. Jill and Van are very nice and the living areas downstairs were really pretty and well kept. Our downstairs room had a great firm bed. The room was not updated with enough electrical outlets. The bathroom was too awkward. The toilet seat and counter across from it were too tight. The house is... More

Jill and Van are wonderful host. First we were going to be past check in. They waited for us to get there before they went to dinner. Next they let our boys, who are students at West Texas A&M eat breakfast with us. Jill usually doesn't do this, but we really appreciated being together as family and friends. Jill also... More
