Golden Buddha is Thailand as it was 25 years ago. Kilometres of pristine white beaches and warm azure seas, all to one self. For couples, singles or self contained families who appreciate tranquility and a clean, green eco aware environment with food, accommodation and hospitality that makes most 4 to 5 star resorts look plastic, try hard and formulaic. If... More

I think or you love The Golden Buddha and the island or you don't like it at all there, it all depends on what you are looking for. We loved it. We went there because of the yoga classes and were a little disappointed, because the first classes were cancelled and we only had a few days on the island.... More

To start with - this resort is about as close to camping as I would get... It did take me half a day to get into it but once I did I just loved it. From our Wardrobe frog to visiting local dog who slept at our Baan it was great fun. If you do not like creatures potentially visiting... More

Amazing journey. I hesitate to put this on Trip Advisor and I really don't want anyone to spoil it. SO here is the downside, hopefully it will put enough people off. If you like litter, dirty water, air conditioning, loud tourists, poor service, internet, mobile phones, lots of attractions, Jet Ski's etc then stop here and go somewhere else. The... More

We have just returned from 5 nights at Golden Buddah. It was an amazing adventure. From the long boat taxi that took us there to the monkeys that greeted us on the beach. We stayed in Baan Dee, a wonderful wooden beach cottage - there are many Baans to choose from and Golden Buddah will match your needs to the... More

No other resorts captured my heart like Golden Buddha, and for me and my family it was the best holiday so far in our lives. Please note that if you are looking for a “commercial” luxury, then this place is not for you. This place is about reconnecting with nature, enjoying the quiet time at the beach and distancing yourself... More

This secluded island makes it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern day cities. The long stretches of untouched beaches and clear blue waters makes the island a perfect escape to paradise. Getting to the island was interesting via the long tail boat. The scene was stunningly breathtaking as you sailed through mangroves and open waters during... More

I don't really want to write a review because it will encourage others to go there. Simply stunning resort. There are cheaper places on the island but they were full - so if you want to go here - book early. Food was great. Several menu choices every night. The Baans are beautiful (electricity is limited to the evenings but... More

Just gets better. You have to capture the glory and spirit of this place in your mind's eye: photographs do not do it justice. More comfortable, more user friendly, more flexible, more contemporary where needed, all since new owners took it on a year ago. The only fly in the ointment for us is occasionally other travellers--the Italian man who... More

We stayed for 9 days on this beautiful Resort. Fantastic bungalow and stunning beaches. Very helpful and kindly staff. I hope we will visit again! PS: this is long trip from airport but very much worth it!
