Canyon of the Eagles is a wonderful spot for getting away from the sprawling hustle and bustle of the nearby cities. The rooms are basic, but the setting is spectacular. Ample hiking, bird and wildlife watching (loved the roadrunners!). The staff was very pleasant and gracious to us. The resort caters to families with daily activities for children. The restaurant... Very enjoyable. Restaurant served excellent food with fine staff. Area is remote, lots of hiking trail, fishing pier and round swimming pool. Grounds staff very accommodating and grounds well kept. Go to relax and be with nature, no TV and limited WiFi. Rooms are adequate for stay but just have basics. Beds are comfortable and shower good. Did not go... More

We recently stayed at this resort to help our parents celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for a more perfect atmosphere. The rooms were basic but very clean and the restaurant was excellent!(others complain about the prices but we found the food to be well worth the price and did not think it was overpriced to... Staff was rude. They booked our stay for the incorrect nights and then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that if I didn't double check the confirmation that they sent then it was my fault. They also tried to tell me I had checked in on the incorrect day that they booked despite the fact that I was... More

The cabins a nice and roomy with a rustic feel. The restaurant food was good, but it is the only choice for a long ways. My main concern is that in a location that gets as hot as COE the pool is an essential amenity. On my last visit even though the pool looked murky I was driven in to... More

We are RVers and stayed in the campgrounds there with our 4 kiddos and a dog... It was great!!! They have a great pool that we used everyday. We went hiking on the trails each morning. Our dog was welcome through the resort. They have family-friendly movies each night at dusk. It's one of our new favorite places!! Some reviewers... More

Canyon of the Eagles is a nature's lover's paradise. I camp at the resort often. I spend hours hiking the many well-maintained nature trails. Wildlife surrounds you. The staff is always kind. The RV sites have full hook-ups and are clean and shaded by beautiful trees. The sunsets are always spectacular from sunset point in the resort. I love going... More

My husband and I (along with our 5-month old) spent the July 4th weekend at Canyon of the Eagles. We were excited to get away from the city. It's just a quick 1 hour and 15 minute trek from Austin. The property is gorgeous and immaculately maintained. Most of the rooms have a wonderful view of Lake Buchanan. Although it... More

I read many of the reviews before visiting this place - Should have heeded the warnings! Aside from a pool which us RVers were politely discouraged from visiting, there is little to do here unless you just like walking around and experiencing the outdoors in 95 degree heat. No access to recreational activities, no fishing, no boating, nor kayaking. If... More

We arrived on a glorious Monday afternoon, and quickly got settled in to our cozy room with a fabulous view, which had been upgraded for us, very comfortable and well appointed.
