We loved being there in the off season. So quiet and peaceful. A good view of Lake Buchanan in spite of the drought. We were the only guests in the cabin area. We saw no Eagles, but did enjoy looking. We did see deer, wild hog and even a busy road runner. Our hike to the waterless dock was very... More

They are in beautiful park with several trails starting 5 min. on foot from the resort. They accept pets, and their charge is very reasonable. The surrounding kandscape is most beautiful. And it is great to sit in one of the two rocking chairs on the porch. BUT they are so overzealous with their dark sky protocol that arriving after... More

This was our third time here and once again, we were sad to leave. The grounds are lovely, the cabins are clean, rustic, and charming, the staff is accommodating and friendly, and the setting is so peaceful. The only two complaints I have are that it's a shame the lake is dried up (certainly not the fault of the resort!)... More

It's hard to believe from the last review below we stayed at the same place. The room was good. The food great and priced right. The service all around was good. We enjoyed the fire pit and live music. Wookie gave it 5 stars and said bring you dog and let him have the time of his life. We also... More

The challenge w this review is realizing that's concerns & feedback will most probably fall on deaf mgmt ears. I don't get the sense that they think they come up short in several areas or are just blind. But my guess is they've been losing business & probably blame it on the low lake levels. The truth is they have... More

Very nice property and very helpful staff. Sits atop a ridge over the lake. Many trails and a cool observatory attraction. Live music on the patio Saturday night. Attractions nearby include Lone Star Caverns and several wineries. The restaurant at the location tries hard, but the menu is pretty limited and the supper wasn't really very good, and the breakfast... More

We stayed here in May 2014 in our 5th wheel and had full hookups. The campground was really pretty and there were bathrooms nearby that were in decent shape considering it was a campground. The resort itself was beautiful and all of the employees were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the onsite restaurant was so-so. Lake Buchanan was... More

I recently attended a corporate function at Canyon of the Eagles for three nights. The rooms were comfortable if not on the small side and lightly furnished. The room was clean and the view was great. There isn't much sitting area in the room, but I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Note there are no TVs in... More

We spent 3 very relaxing nights at the resort. The staff really make this a nice place to visit. Unfortunately, with Lake Buchanan being so low for so long, the resort itself misses some of its luster, but still remains very relaxing. Even without the lake there are still scenic views and nice Texas sunsets. The staff really tries to... More

We spent three nights at this resort and found it to be very relaxing and laid back. While it is on Lake Buchanan, and used to water up to the edge of the resort, you now have to look a long way to find water because the lake is so low! But, THAT IS nature, so you deal with it.... More
