If all you want to do is sleep, then this is the place as there is nothing else happening here. We did the hiking trail hoping to see an Eagle, but no luck. We did see a crow and a few Chickadees. Lake Buchanan is so low that our lake view room only had a view of grass where the... More

My wife and I visited the location over the Christmas break. We arrived with our RV and checked in. We were told where to go and park and were basically on our own from that point to get set up. No cable or wifi available for the RV sites so bring movies if you want entertainment. The place was quiet... More

We came to Canyon of the Eagles for some post Christmas relaxation and our first road trip with 2 yr. old boxer Black Jack. BJ enjoyed random hugs from the friendly staff and enjoyed hiking with us (on leash) along the many easy trails. The cabin was cozy on a cold, wet, evening. Wireless internet let us enjoy Netflix offerings... More

The last time I saw the beautiful sky in the night was long time ago. I do respect the nightlight policy. The location is unique, inside the Park, so that expect a sort of "advanced level" of camping. Certain things in the room could be improved, such as a small wardrobe or another place where simply put some stuff are... More

We loved being there in the off season. So quiet and peaceful. A good view of Lake Buchanan in spite of the drought. We were the only guests in the cabin area. We saw no Eagles, but did enjoy looking. We did see deer, wild hog and even a busy road runner. Our hike to the waterless dock was very... More

They are in beautiful park with several trails starting 5 min. on foot from the resort. They accept pets, and their charge is very reasonable. The surrounding kandscape is most beautiful. And it is great to sit in one of the two rocking chairs on the porch. BUT they are so overzealous with their dark sky protocol that arriving after... More

This was our third time here and once again, we were sad to leave. The grounds are lovely, the cabins are clean, rustic, and charming, the staff is accommodating and friendly, and the setting is so peaceful. The only two complaints I have are that it's a shame the lake is dried up (certainly not the fault of the resort!)... More

It's hard to believe from the last review below we stayed at the same place. The room was good. The food great and priced right. The service all around was good. We enjoyed the fire pit and live music. Wookie gave it 5 stars and said bring you dog and let him have the time of his life. We also... More

The challenge w this review is realizing that's concerns & feedback will most probably fall on deaf mgmt ears. I don't get the sense that they think they come up short in several areas or are just blind. But my guess is they've been losing business & probably blame it on the low lake levels. The truth is they have... More

Very nice property and very helpful staff. Sits atop a ridge over the lake. Many trails and a cool observatory attraction. Live music on the patio Saturday night. Attractions nearby include Lone Star Caverns and several wineries. The restaurant at the location tries hard, but the menu is pretty limited and the supper wasn't really very good, and the breakfast... More
