Our Valentines weekend stay at Rainbow Hearth started when we pulled into the driveway and were greeted by friendly "Shadow" and "Sunshine" the resident 4 legged welcoming committee, followed by Scott the human caretaker. We stayed in Blue Heron suite with the wrap around deck, but had the opportunity to visit the other suites while they were empty. The yurt... More

We visited Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary for our 5th anniversary in mid-October. We stayed in the oh-so-fun tree house yurt. That's right a tree house yurt! Technically its a deck built up into the trees with the yurt on the deck and a separate bathroom with a walk in 2 person soaker tub and a skylight to the stars. We loved... More

Awesome, amazing. My wife was in Burnet for work over the weekend which left me with a lot of time to fill. We stayed in the yurt and it was great. I was able to fill the day with things to do around the property and I did not even experience it all. Read the book in your room it gives... More

If you come here expecting a hotel, with activities, amenities, and services, you're going to be disappointed. If you come looking for a sanctuary, a place to truly unwind from your normal stresses, you're going to be delighted. Mariah and her late partner built this place up over the years since they bought the property in the 70s. Now she... More

We stayed at the treehouse for our anniversary. It was the most private of all. We opted out of the food package as $48.00 a day per person for yogurt, granola, salad and soup was bit too much for our budget. We brought a cooler with lunch meats and snacks, and went out to dinner at the Overlook resteraunt at... More

My wife and I needed a weekend to just get away and we found it - Rainbow Hearth was the answer. Mariah provided excellent massage therapy in a unique way - to tell you would spoil the experience. The food was excellent. No TV, radio, or phones just quite, relaxing atmosphere. I recommend the Sky Loft room and if you... More

Neat, tidy, good beds and a nice view. Three sinks, but no fridge, microwave or coffee maker or keys to lock your room! Unless you purchase the meal plan, you are pretty much out of luck in the food department for almost $200.00 one would think a continental breakfast would be included. We were told that we could get a... More

Our family is lucky to have stumbled across this fantastic place. A plus for us is that it is animal-friendly. Mariah, the owner, and her daughter run the place and they love animals. Not just dogs, but also cats, rabbits, hamsters, well, you get the idea. The individual "houses" are well-kept, very clean, and stocked full of clean linens, sheets,... More

My husband and my brother and I stayed in the upstairs suite last weekend. It's a lovely and comfortable space. There was a room with a king bed for my husband and me and a nice separate room for my brother. We shared a bath which was fine. The people who work at Rainbow Hearth were friendly and accommodating. The... More

My husband and I have been needing to disconnect and recharge, this place fits the bill. We stayed in the Yurt. It was so cool, a short walk up the hill and you are so secluded. You are surrounded by trees and some are flowering. There is an outdoor deck that surrounds the Yurt with a little bistro set. The... More
