Our business group stayed here courtesy if our host whilst visiting in September. It was so good that we all want to return privately. Stunning location, beautiful food and a genuine warmth from all the staff. Sadly we only had 1 night but it's on the list for a longer stay next time !!

This lovely property has been well restored, offers sweeping views to the south and has tremendously friendly staff. A point of clarification - the hotel is not the castle at the top of the hill but rather the adjoining buildings (all authentic and of the same time period as the castle) just below the crest of the hill. There are... More

I just came back from a group opera tour of Italy. We stayed here because of its central accessibility to many wonderful opera cities: Milan, Bologna, Parma and Cremona (not for opera but for its fantastic violin museum). When we arrived, the room was not prepared and we had no shelves or places on which to put things--seemed like would... More

A dream up in the hills above Fidenza, near Parma ... I was there for a wedding over several days but would recommend for a visit of any kind. Everything from simple rooms to apartments/villas are available at diffferent prices. Great staff team to help with anything needed. Two swimming pools ... A dream, as I say!!

found this place through Tripadvisor and was great place to stay in. The views are fantastic and the restaurant on the grounds is brilliant. it is very central. We travelled to Modena from there for balsamic. Everyone was very helpful. really loved it

We had never stayed in a real castle previously, let alone one in Europe. Having visited several in Italy, Sweden and similar places in Greece, we had wondered about life in such a place. It was a considerable delight, especially that it was managed as well as it was. The front-desk was especially helpful in getting a porter to take... More

We stayed only one night but such a nice night. Petra and her staff are wonderful. The grounds, rooms, spa, meals, everything was excellent. The dinner served each night is a three or four course delight with nice selections, a very good wine list, and delicious foods. I had a ravioli type pasta with mushrooms that was to die for.... We stumbled on this jewel of a hotel by chance and I'm almost reluctant to write a review because I selfishly want to keep it for myself! We reserved last minute in late August while touring the enchanting medieval castles in the Piacenza and Parma area in Northern Italy and decided to spend a night in one of them. The... More

Just returned from a week at the Antico Borgo, having had a fantastic stay. For someone who normally opts for city breaks in a more conventional hotel this was a departure and I wasn't sure what to expect. Firstly lets start with the position: Tabiano Castello, a smallish complex of characterdul buildings based around a castello dating from 11th century,... More

Stunning setting for a wedding venue. Rooms were lovely and pool area great. Views stunning, food good and plenty of choice at breakfast. The hotel was clean. The venue was made by the staff who were welcoming and helpful and couldn't really do enough for you. Would definately go back and would recommend it. The hotel was nicely situated near... More
