Enjoyed my quick stay, only stayed one night. Pros-- The beds were extremely comfortable. Big room enjoyed the separation from beds and "living room area." Clean rooms. Cons-- Ceiling fan sounded like it was going to fly off, no matter what speed I put it on. Without the ceiling fan room felt kind of stuffy even with A/C. Every time... More

Pros- clean, comfortable beds, pleasant decor, good hotel style breakfast. Cons- difficult unmarked entry, not all of the equipment in the gym works, too many steps to get the TV to regular TV instead of the various other moods, TV turns itself off if you don't change channels. Adequate hotel nothing special.

Dear roxiekay, Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our property. It is very nice to know that you found the beds comfortable. On the other hand, I apologize for the issues you had with the gym equipment. Your comments are being shared with the hotel management and appropriate action will be taken. I assure you... More

Platinum Member I've stayed here before and enjoyed the stay but this time I looked further. 1. Bad entry to property. Miss it and you'll travel several mile to get back. 2. Cancelation policy is punitive. If you cancel after 6pm the night before they charge you for the entire stay. Not so bad if only one night stay but... More

booked the place on line several days earlier - arrived - it is just off the interstate and easy to access - check in went well - was recognized as a Gold member and was upgraded - hotel had 4 floors -- one was quite large with a separate work area ( though only one TV) - bed and bedding... More

This hotel is located 10 miles south of Austin on Interstate 35. That extra 10 miles results in less traffic, noise, and a better rate than staying in Austin. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable (even had a ceiling fan), had a microwave and a minifridge, very good breakfast and it was quiet. I would highly... More

We decided at the last minute to stay in Austin overnight. We stopped at the HI Express in Buda because it was close to family. We were surprised to get a room, given that it was Thanksgiving weekend. Our king suite was roomy, spotless, and quiet (even though the hotel is close to Hwy. 35). The king bed was super... More

Erica is the kind of employee that always goes the extra mile to make sure things are right! During a recent long business stay I made a mistake when making my reservation that resulted in an incorrect rate being charged. Although it was already a few days into my stay, Erica took the time to research the issue and make... More

Overall this is a nice hotel. It is clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good with eggs, pancakes and other traditional continental breakfast items. The pool is outside and is small. You can tell it is a little older if you look in the corners of the showers you can see a few cracks, etc. My major complaint... More

We had the worst experience at this hotel. We were traveling with two small children. We were the first guests to check in for the day and we were placed on the 4th floor of the hotel. Apparently this hotel has very thin floors because we were bothered several times during our trip about noise complaints. Our children were not... More

Wonderful experience, very accommodating manager (Mr. Patel). Will stay here again! Was upgraded to a huge room at no cost. Just a very nice place to stay and visit the wineries. Centrally located so you can spend a day in Wimberly, next day new Braunfels/ San Marcos etc.
