My daughter (from Houston) and I (from Austin) met there this past weekend. From the outside, it looked very interesting, but the inside defies description. Every detail, from the wonderful, soft sheets to the fresh-smelling soap was thoughtfully incorporated into this lovely experience of stepping back into the past. We were upstairs in a corner room, and the beautiful stained-glass... More

This is the second time I've stayed at the Ant Street Inn and I wish I could have stayed much longer. Rooms are really special; linens are glorious to sleep on and all the "extra's" they have....including Blue Bell ice cream in the freezer outside in the main hall........make this a fabulous place to stay. I was on business and... More

My wife surprised me with a two night stay here and was it awesome. What was particularly nice about this B&B was the restoration of the building and the antiques used to decorate it as well as the rooms. The back patio and rocking chairs were a nice place to relax after walking downtown. The location in town was superior.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and had booked into the Louis room. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night and were the only ones in the hotel. The room was lovely and warm in contrast to the freezing weather outside. There was a lovely veranda out the back but too cold to sit there which was a... More

Enjoyed our evening here so much. Stained glass everywhere. Wonderful antique furnishings, but totally modern lodging. Loved the room, end of the hall and off to the side. Very quiet. Lovely sitting area to watch tv. Lovely deep tub and a separate shower in the bathroom with double sinks even! And the bedding, what can I say other than it... More

Perfect location in downtown Brenham. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the incredible Unity Theater. Every room is unique. Each is exquisitely decorated. Bathrooms are large and very modern. We stayed in the Louisville room and were very happy with it. Floors are a bit creaky. (It is a very old building). Luckily there are no rooms below. Overall the room... More

Would stay once a month if possible. I found it an excellent place to be refreshed, to slow down, unwind, relax, enjoy....the peace, the quiet, the ambiance. We found it a cozy place to meet with friends and loved ones in an atmosphere of sheer luxary. The beds were uncommonly comfortable and the bedding made the stay exquisite. Temperature control... Stayed a night in January on the way to Austin. Great hotel, every room is unique. Breakfast was good and made to order. We could help ourselves to blue bell ice cream in the freezer service helpful and friendly. Definitely try to stay there.

My wife and I recently spent two nights here for our anniversary. This was a great place to spend a quiet, relaxing time away from the kids. We stayed in the Austin room, and really liked the room. The upstairs area, where most of the rooms are located (including the Austin room), consists of a large, long rectangular sitting area... More

The Ant Street Inn has become our favorite getaway from Houston. Such a lovely place and such a wonderful staff. This charming little inn serves as a second home several times a year and it's always a pleasure. This past Valentine's weekend we enjoyed Earnie's restaurant, a play called Almost Maine at the Unity Theatre right next door to the... More
