I stayed at the GRR with my boyfriend at the time. We had a very quaint cabin with a wooded creek view (although the creek was dry - they hadn't had any rain in months). The room had stone tiled floor and a very comfortable bed. The Pros: The bed was comfy The location was perfect The ambiance The deer... more
We arrived to the Hill Country on Friday and left on Sunday. My children cried when we left. I think that sums it all up. The Guadalupe River Ranch is a wonderful place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was scared to tell you the truth when I made my reservations they... more
I recently stayed at the Guadalupe River Ranch. It was a weekend retreat I planned for my girlfriend's birthday with two other friends. After making the reservation, I read the reviews on this website. Immediately I started to panic. I searched around and found other places with similar activities (we were going there specifically for the horseback riding), but no... more
We planned a two-night getaway to the hill country for rest and relaxation. What we got was one-night away (because that's all we could take), disappointment and a much lighter wallet. This place has very little maintenance, no TV's in the rooms, not much to do, dirty floors, a shower that sprayed every direction but down, etc. etc. DO NOT... more

The 7 and 3 year old could easily fit through. Didn't make me feel confident about the rest of the balcony. I informed staff they smiled... more
I am also of the party of 5 girls that recently stayed at the GRR for a weekend get-away. I made the reservations there because I had stayed there once before and stayed in one of the "rooms" in a "building" on property for just one night and it was an "alright" experience. Nothing horrid or terrible but just OK.... more
Five friends and myself had booked a weekend retreat at the GRR and decided to try the Reunion house since it accomadated a large party. We arrived to find that our accomodation was a "double wide" trailer and nasty interior! it was a shock. we were stayign 2 nights and made the best of it...but here were some of the... more
We stayed there for our anniversary and it was just this past weekend...i have to say that the manager doesn't seem very customer oriented. We compliained to her and she seemed very disinterested in what we had to say. Some of the staff were helpful, I think the place could use some training. The best part were the deer and... more
Our group booked 3 rooms for the 3 nights we stayed. One room had missing light bulbs, One room had dirty unmade beds upon arrival in the evening. The room I stayed in had an inch of black mold in the toilet and empty bottle with cobwebs around it under the bedside table. The beds were very high so you... more
