Thank you Deborah and Ralph for taking such loving care of this iconic roadside motel. The big chain hotels/motels with their cookie cutter rooms ain't got nothing on the Blanco County Inn. Truly a home a way from home experience. My sister and I had a fantastic weekend roaming the hill county and staying at your wonderful place just made... More

My husband and I recently stayed for the weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Blanco County Inn is an amazing deal for the low cost. The owners are incredibly friendly and offered great suggestions that provide accurate for good local eats. (redbud and chess club) It has a good location close to gas stations, grocery store, food, and the state park.... More

The Blanco County Inn The Only Place To Stay when you're in the Blanco Area!! The Owners are the most Personable and Accommodating Inn owners, IMHO, that are on this planet! The Rooms are Actually Clean Enough that you can stand on the Carpet, or the Tile Floor, in your Bare Feet, and not worry! The BCI is Close to... More

Considering all of the great reviews, I almost feel guilty writing this. I rely on the T.A. community to make my travel picks and I have to say I am a bit disappointed in this one. I will agree with the others - the owners are lovely, caring people and do make an effort to let you know that they... More

I had the good fortune to stay here two separate nights on either side of a weekend while doing some volunteer work and visiting the LBJ Ranch and Boyhood Home. Our room was large, well furnished, very clean, and the bed very comfortable. I didn't get to meet Ralph, but Deborah was a delight. The treats left in the room... More

We were in town for the Real Ale Ride and stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. There were four adults and we had plenty of room. Clean room with a great deck to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Going to reserve the same room for next years ride.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We let our customers decide whether they want to do nothing, or savor all the things Blanco & the Texas Hill Country have to offer. With that said we are an 80 year old motel, with rooms that have been remodeled over the last few years. All this to give our customers, and future friends, a charming "Hill Country" Experience! Being (we believe the motel was built in1932) we are 80 years old; we are the oldest lodging in Blanco County. Also, we are one of the oldest lodging establishments in the hill country. It was founded by Mary Lester as the Lester Courts when the State & Federal government was developing our state park system and when Route Number 66 was developed. No, not US Route 66, we think it was a state highway before it became US 281. So along with the road and the park here Mrs. Lester built the Lester courts. Wanting to slow down the frenzied pace of corporate life, my wife and I jumped at the chance to live in the hill country, and run a quaint little inn. As our retirement project we have had fun restoring the motel to a quaint "Boutique Motel" and meet people and new friends from all over the world. Ask us about some fresh eggs or soon our "Blanco County Honey!" ... more   less
