We had a great time! The place is beautiful and we loved the animals. You can rent a golf cart at $25 for an hour and drive around the property and feed the animals. An hour is plenty of time. Someone mentioned that some of the golf carts didn't work, but we had no problems getting them to run. (You... More

I commonly camp & I stay in hostels as much as hotels, so I'm okay with a wide variety of options, but this pretended to be a luxury getaway, but it was repeatedly lame. The pool was unusable, as were most of the carts. Our tent was awful. The carpet was missing in spots, and most of it was soaking... More

Arrived on May 24th thru the 26th. Used a Living Social voucher that was excepted my their reservationist even though though I found out that these were blacout dates. Reservations were confirmed 3 times and by the owner's son verablly twice. Owner charged my credit card FULL price after I returned home. Food was terrible and things did not work... More

Mercy, what a twisted view of what really happened. This reservation was made online, even though it was clear on the voucher when he bought it, that Memorial weekend was a BLACKOUT date. He made his reservation online. We then called, left a message and emailed him that he could not use his voucher for those dates. He then called... More

I was looking forward to this trip and left disappointed. We stayed in tentalow #1 and was surprised it was just a screened building. Our girls were looking forward to swimming and seeing the animals. As soon as we arrived we were told the pool was broken. We went to our tentalow and there were LARGE spiders in the beds.... More

This just shows you the difference between people. The review right below this one, the people came the exact same weekend. Stayed exactly same places. Totally different perspectives. All I can say is it is CAMPING. More

We were a multi-generational trip and everyone had great memories of our overnight stay there. I’ve been lucky to have traveled to Africa on multiple trips and I can attest that they are doing an amazing job capturing the simple spirit of Africa with a beautiful resort right here in the middle of the Hill Country. They have some different... More

This was my third visit to The Serengeti Resort. My first two visits were probably a 4 or 5 star. In the previous visits we had stayed in the outfitter tents and really enjoyed it. Since I had been such a big fan of this place, I convinced some friends to go with me and enjoy the beauty. We had... More

We stayed 2 nights in the outfitter tents and loved it. It is camping with convenience. We made use of the mobile A/C in the tent. We enjoyed the breakfasts over the animal park. We cooked out and spent hours out feeding and taking photos of the animals. We had a wine tasting. We adopted a pet for the weekend... More

I have stayed at the resort several times now and I always have a great time! The rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the animals are too cool! The Giraffe will walk right up to you! Clyde the Camel even tried to steal my coke one time!!! I always enjoy my stay... More

I read all the reviews the day before we left home for our two day stay at the Serengeti Resort so I was a little nervous but figured that at least we were bringing our RV so we would have everything we needed for our comfort. I shouldn't have worried though, because the resort was everything we could have asked... More

I came to stay with my husband and 2 boys - we had an amazing time! We were looking for a way we could relax, and this was it! There was so much room for our kids to run and play, which is a luxury they don't often have living in the suburbs, and the scenery is beautiful! We stayed... More
