We loved the individual, quiet, private cabins and the Texas country feel. The cabin had everything we needed plus extras. Took a short walk and observed longhorn cattle, horses, donkies, birds, flowers, berries, and pine trees. It felt great being in the Texas! more

We drove in from Houston and immediately relaxed as we entered the 9E Ranch up the gravel road. There is a sense of a different time there. Our whole family slowed down and enjoyed doing things together and being outside. There are Longhorns, chickens, horses, and donkeys--wonderful, unusual animals. (we only have mosquitos in Houston!) We have stayed at Eagle's... more

Truly loved the 9E B&B experience. The property is on wonderful acreage with some really beautiful trees and 3 cute donkeys. The cottage was perfect for our stay and the space was just the right size to dine, sleep and veg ! If you want to get away from the city and the hub bub....this is the perfect place ! more

Daisy cabin was perfect for our girls weekend. Between the two bedrooms and bedrolls, we had plenty of space for a very relaxing get away. The cabin was quaint and clean and beautiful...just right! Had all that we needed for convience and comfort. The view of the hillcountry from the cabin was a delight to wake up to or just... more

I loved staying in the Eagle's Nest. It's in the trees with a great view of the whole area. It is very private and has everything you need except the food you bring. Good eating is not too far away and Smithville shops are delightful. more

Cozy rustic cabins are placed about a spacious Texas ranch. No matter what the season the view is gorgeous. Animals of all kinds habitat this ranch--longhorns, horses, miniature donkeys, and cats--along with the friendly, hospitable, very interesting owners, Kent & Joan Bohls. The location is ideal. It is very convenient to Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. It is also very... more

I have stayed at this place 3 times, but the first 2 times I was alone and went there to work on a project in quiet. The 3rd time I went as a couple with my significant other, and I noticed unpleasant things I missed my first 2 times there. The Breakfast: As the name implies, this is a Bed... more

We stayed as a family of 4 in the lone star cabin, a quaint little home giving the authentic american settler feel. The owners Joan & Kent were so helpful giving us a tour of their ranch in an open pick up and the freedom of the ranch to woander seeing, deer, vultures (spooky as they really do circle overhead)... more
