BW is always a great choice when traveling for most needs and always responsive to issues. BUT, for fishing and boating, if you bring a boat, you will HAVE issues with obtaining outside electric for battery charging. Would do better elsewhere until BW improves outside electric availability.

Some of the reviewers must have bad karma..room was clean..was with my daughter and had a perfect third story room overlooking the pool with two queen beds...go to priceline bid 52-55 bucks you will get it AND it is as good as any other hotel in town--especially at that price point.

When we checked into the hotel we discovered that first the elevator was broken, ok no big deal we were just on the 2nd floor. Then we were given keys to our two rooms. The first room we walked into at 7 pm still hadn't had maid service so the room was not made up yet. We went to the... More

This is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. It was bad enough that the lobby was strewn with cereal and other trash. And my room had a hole in the ceiling and black mold on the towels. But the real kicker was the staff, each of which were incredibly rude and for the most part only communicated... More

We usually stay at best western for the valve. They are most always clean safe places to stay. We stayed at Bastrop Pines Inn BEST WESTERN while we did a visit to the Capital (AUSTIN) Last September. Our trip was great- the motel ok . I got my American Express bill in OCT only to find an additional charge for... More

We had a nice time at this Best Western. It was clean and updated. The few issues we had with housekeeping were promptly addressed. We were very satisfied and would certainly return. Breakfast was fine including waffles shaped like Texas! The location was great for a wedding we were attending at McKinney Roughs. Not much choice for restaurants in the... More

Lots of mixed reviews, here, and I was prepared for the worst, but it ended up being a hassle free, good experience. It's just a no-frills, cookie-cutter modern hotel on the highway west of Bastrop. Not a lot was expected, and it did its job. It was clean, fairly new, and a decent value. Breakfast was pretty good for this... More

Perhaps the worst hotel experience I have had. Rude, unaccommodating staff. There was a dirty towel left on the back of the bathroom door. We had no hot water for three days. The rates quoted, were not honored at the time of check in. The Toilet was not secured to the floor. There was a broken hanger piece on the... More

We didn't have hot water for 2 days. They didn't have any accommodation for early check in or late check out. They don't have a cot or roll-away available.. The refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug it to sleep. The pop machine was out of Diet Coke our entire stay. One of the comforters had blood stains on... More

please whenever or wherever you may stay at, if you have small children with "ants in their pants" don't stay on a floor above the first floor, people don't want to hear your kids running, stomping, jumping all night,
