Shawn and Bill are awesome people. We stayed in the parlor with our two girls (dogs) for our 1st anniversary. The b&b has great access to both the town and the historic district of Bastrop. We will return. Blessings.

We stayed at Pecan Street Inn on March 30th to attend the semi annual Antique Shows in Round Top, Texas. Aside from the wonderful hospitality, comfy bed, and Bill's delicious breakfast, Shawn's knowledge of all things Round Top was amazing! We traveled there on the hunt for one item. Shawn gave us her recommendations on which shows would be the... More

We have stayed at the Pecan Street Inn three times in the past year, and on each occasion, we were made to feel so welcome by owners Shawn and Bill. The house itself is a Victorian-era gem, with high ceilings, gorgeous antiques and a large front parlor. We have stayed in several different rooms at the Inn, and they were... More

We had booked our room in April 2014 to stay for 2 nights in Oct 2014 and make payment in full for B and B by credit card. We paid a supplement to pay by credit card. When we arrived at 1600 after being told we could check in from 1600, the inn looked closed and empty. We hung around... More

Don't even think of staying in a boring hotel, this charming home has personality! This B&B is conveniently located close to downtown and the Colorado River. We stayed in the Master Suite which was very comfortable with a king size bed and huge bathroom. There's a little TV and good wifi. Even though there were other guests, we didn't hear... More

If you are looking for a really friendly, helpful and welcoming place to stay we highly recommend this B&B. We arrived early - not a problem. We wanted help with directions and advice about where to go - all provided with interest and enthusiasm for helping us make the best of our Texan holiday, including maps (thanks Bill) and advice... Business brought me through Texas again, so I figured I'd make lemonade and at least take a short tour. I randomly chose Bastrop as my destination, and almost as randomly chose the Pecan Street Inn for my night's stay. Win, and win! The Inn is a short walk to either the historic district, the Colorado River, or the historic homes... More

My girlfriend and I went down to Bastrop for the weekend in mid-June and it was a great trip. When we got there, one of the owners greeted us and told us some quick history about Bastrop and where we should eat for dinner. One of her daughters came over while we were talking and you could really tell this... More

If your looking for native hosts that are part of your stay, this is the place for you. Our ladies group of 6 enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay in Bastrop. Bill & Shawn provided an excellent, home cooked breakfast each morning + recommended tons of things to see & do in and around Bastrop. I would absolutely stay... More

As with all B&Bs the hosts are an important part of the package. At Pecan Street Inn Bill and Shawn make up for the only shortcoming of the place: it suffers a bit from noise, from other rooms as well as from the street. The room we had, had a rather quirky decoration, but we liked it.
