I called the Inn and asked for a room for the following night. I was told there was a cancellation and a room was available. I was told that the room was not viewable on the internet site but that the innkeeper said she could email it but I did not take her up on that because I assumed it... more

Authentic Victorian home and Shawn and Bill, the owners are very welcoming! Bill's breakfasts were wonderful and both he and his wife, Shawn are so personable. Comfortable beds! This is a really neat place to stay - and we'll definitely be back to stay here on our next trip to Bastrop. more

My friend and I from Vancouver, WA stayed at the Pecan Street Inn for four nights in April during the nearby Antique Street Festival. What a treat the Inn is! Besides being exactly what a beautiful historic home represents, innkeepers Shawn and her husband Bill are an extra treat. Shawn offered hints on attending the Festival and experiencing everything the... more

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this beautiful inn during a working trip to the Bastrop/Smithville area, and I could never sing its praises loud enough. Aside from the inn's delightful aesthetics, the warm hospitality and homey atmosphere made my stay so much more pleasant than if I'd have checked into a sterile room at a larger establishment. Innkeeper... more

We stayed one night just before new year's eve. Comfortable, pretty, friendly, good food. Owner/cook was knowledgeable about local history and had good recommendations for things to do. The room we stayed in had no curtains, which I thought was odd. And the old house had no insulation -- for heat or for sounds. So, bring your sleeping mask and... more

This was our first time staying at a B&B and we were not sure what to expect. We had read the less than glowing reviews but had decided to take a chance....and we are glad that we did! We found Shawn, the inn keeper, to be inviting as she provided us with information about Bastrop and made herself available to... more

We recently rented the entire Pecan Street Inn for a relaxing weekend. The Inn was as promised in advertisements and the breakfast food was wonderful. We elected to bake the casseroles prepared by the owner each morning so that we could have breakfast at our convenience. We loved the house, the food, the sleepy Texas town, and the property, but... more

The Pecan Street Inn is a beautiful home in the heart of the historic district of Bastrop. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful surroundings and the lovely antiques that decorated the home. The highlight has to be the wonderful breakfasts. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and made everyone feel at home. We... more

I called the innkeepers at Pecan Street Inn Bed & Breakfast in Bastrop because I was interested in this B&B for wedding guests and family to stay during the weekend of my wedding. As I had done at other hotels and bed & breakfasts in Bastrop, I wanted to hold rooms for my guests to reserve and pay for if... more

We agree that integrity and honesty in business is essential which is why we have had literally thousands of delighted, satisfied customers over the 11 years we’ve had our B&B. We have never had this complaint in all those years. Unfortunately, this unhappy customer never even stayed with us nor was she honest in her assertions which are incorrect. Because...
