If you are looking for a really friendly, helpful and welcoming place to stay we highly recommend this B&B. We arrived early - not a problem. We wanted help with directions and advice about where to go - all provided with interest and enthusiasm for helping us make the best of our Texan holiday, including maps (thanks Bill) and advice... Business brought me through Texas again, so I figured I'd make lemonade and at least take a short tour. I randomly chose Bastrop as my destination, and almost as randomly chose the Pecan Street Inn for my night's stay. Win, and win! The Inn is a short walk to either the historic district, the Colorado River, or the historic homes... More

My girlfriend and I went down to Bastrop for the weekend in mid-June and it was a great trip. When we got there, one of the owners greeted us and told us some quick history about Bastrop and where we should eat for dinner. One of her daughters came over while we were talking and you could really tell this... More

As with all B&Bs the hosts are an important part of the package. At Pecan Street Inn Bill and Shawn make up for the only shortcoming of the place: it suffers a bit from noise, from other rooms as well as from the street. The room we had, had a rather quirky decoration, but we liked it.

Great stay at the Inn!! Shawn made us feel at home and provided helpful information on what to see and do in Bastrop and gave excellent restaurants tips! Comfy bedroom and delicious homemade pecan waffles for breakfast!

I surprised my wife on our 35th anniversary with a night at Pecan Street Inn.The owners were totally accomodating and gracious. The Inn gives off this warm feeling of history and family.NOT a stuffy museum feel like some B&Bs,The breakfast (,cooked at our chosen time) was great We were totally satisfied with our stay and will go back.

Traveled from Pennsylvania, were to stay 4 nights: told to send cash/check for half deposit (no cards) sent 283.00 in good faith. Took elderly Aunt to see her son for the last time. Got there and here are the complaints: A bed (built up with pads and whatever/unstable and too high for elderly) said to use a step located in... More

The Inn was at a great location and Bill and Shawn very informative about the area and accommodating. I had to be at a memorial service early so they quickly made up my room and gave me a place to change and get ready upon my early arrival. The breakfast was wonderful and definitely reflected the area. Very enjoyable stay.... More
