The property is beautiful and quiet. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. There are so many activities available for adults and children: hayrides, golf, water park, horse riding. Joe Bob, the wrangler, is so kind and patient with the children who have never been around horses....he will have them riding within a day! Buck provides great music around the... More

Each time I visit Bandera, I call the Flying L Guest Ranch first. Accommodations are clean, staff is very courteous and friendly. Ranch has something for everyone including horse back riding, golf, and other activities. The meals are delicious too! My favorite was horseback riding with Joe Bob, Flying L's ranch hand. He is very knowledgeable about horses and the... More

We reserved a two bedroom villa for the Bandera Cowboy Marti Gras festival. One of the three beds had a metal box spring that squeaked with each time a person moved making it hard to get a good night sleep. The rest of the room was okay. The main issue we had was the parking which for our villa was... More

We had a group of 31 people and we used 2 cabins, the Colonel's Quarters and Lapham's Lodge, were utilized by our groups. It was AWESOME! since it was Christmas, each cabin had a decorated tree and both had pool tables for the kids to play. All of us met daily in Lapham and there was enough space to eat,... More

We stayed at Flying L just after Christmas, it was a very nice "ranch" but not what I was expecting at all. Even though there were farm animals (2 ponies and 1 mini donkey) and deer/antelope to feed I felt like I was more in a western themed resort instead of at a ranch; which I'm sure is what some... I have stayed at this resort many times. This is a beautiful ranch with abundant wildlife from whitetail deer, axis deer and herds of black buck antelope. There is horseback riding year round and a water park just the right size for families. You can enjoy a round of golf on a beautiful golf course and camp fires and smores'... More

Overall this was a great experience and reminded me of my rural Canadain roots. Our suite had lovely furniture and was certainly spacious enough. It is centrally located to do lots of exploring. The evening entertainment was a nice added touch, and especially enjoyed the old fashioned songs that Buck sang. Loved, loved, loved the rustic charm of the Foyer... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am currently in the process of providing WiFi to the entirety of the ranch. I am truly sorry that your dinner was dissatisfying. Thank you for bringing the inadequate bedding to my attention. After personally inspecting the bedding, I have decided to replace all extra bedding with more supple comforters. The Texas... More

Everything about Flying L was amazing, from the rooms to the entertainment to the wildlife, you won't be disappointed! The nightly campfires with smores was a kids dream. Small town with great shops up the road.

Where do I start? It was dirty, with dead roaches behind the sofa and bed, and a mouse trap too. There was hair on the clean? sheets. The air conditioner compressor was so LOUD when it came on, it made us jump every time, so we had to turn it off to sleep. It was dank, damp. The layout was... More

I am truly sorry for your unsatisfactory experience. Due to our isolated location in the Hill Country, we are burdened with a substantial number of pests. This is not an excuse, but we do our best to control the situation. Hair being found on your bed, dirty floor, duvet and pillow covers, is entirely unacceptable. I have informed the Head... More

After checking into our room, we turned the furnace on as it was cool outside; about in the 50's. The furnace emitted a smell that made the room uninhabitable. We checked the dresser drawers and they contained leftover food left by the last guests. The smell over the furnace masked the smell of the rotting food. We complained to the... More
