We stopped for the night at Flojo's on a trip across Texas and found it to be a very good choice. It is certainly a very nice break from the cookie-cutter motels along the highways of America. Everything was clean, tidy and the service was nice, too. If you're up for something a little different... Give it a whirl!

Clean rooms ,we had 4 of them ,....mine had a killer view of the Davis mountains. Nice big showers , Good cold air blowin' AC units ,.....what more could you ask for ?.....Spent the day at San Solomon Springs ,then went on a motorcycle ride to Ft. This little place is great. Blows the other two places in town, away!!! We stay here on our diving trips with students to Balmorhea State Park which is just a few miles away. Beds are great, rooms are clean. They did a great job with this place. The little mexican restaurant next door is a must try.

Off the hwy a few miles, I loved the idea of only 9 rooms, each with it's own name and decorations. Apparently no other guests, as I was offered my choice of rooms. Website was ok, with one pic, of each room. Built like a old hacienda in a square with court yard in the middle. Very cute. Web site... More

Girls' cousin getaway trip- we felt peaceful and relaxed in this sleepy little place nestled in the Pecos River Valley -- our view was green open fields and sunflowers against the blue mountains in the distance. Comfortable clean room. Priced right. Friendly staff. Do take note the restaurant closes sort of when they want to and there is not much... More

My wife and I took a mini vacay to Balmorhea to check out the state park. We checked in at the El Oso Flojo Lodge. The staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly. The rooms are very clean and quaint southwest looking. The king sized bed was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you're hungry the Cueva... More

What a wonderful surprise and a blessing to find such a wonderful, peaceful and charming lodge to stay in. Family owned, it's full of charm and warmth. It makes you feel like you've come home. A beautiful central courtyard surrounded by the rooms , all with French doors. Ours had a wood poster king size bed. Spanish tile and wood... More

I reviewed many other places in Balmorhea or close to Balmorhea and Im glad we chose this one ! Florinda was friendly, the room was great, we felt safe and it was only minutes from Balmorhea State Park. The only downside, if any, was the matresses may need to be upgraded. We will be returning and recommending this place for... More

We left the Interstate to see if we could find a hotel for the night. It was getting dark and from the look of the outside of the building we were not quite sure we wanted to stay. The very friendly lady at the desk told us there were 2 rooms left. The price was very reasonable so we took... More

This is a very quaint, simple hotel. It's designed around a typical southwest "courtyard" approach. The entrances to the rooms are on the inside of the courtyard. The setting is a dusty, western texas small town. Not much going on here. But the hotel has been decorated with taste and is clean. The furnishings are surprisingly nice. The shower was... More
