A very peaceful getaway on the quiet side of the Smokies. The inn is well laid out, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient to Cades Cove and the charming town of Townsend. If you want to avoid the mess that is Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this is your destination. The only reason I didn't give... More

We stayed here the night of our wedding and the day after. We love the bed, and the sheets especially. The room was very clean, and they brought us roses when they realized we has just gotten married. I am currently staying sitting on the balcony, overlooking the valley , which is beautiful, and enjoying the sounds of crickets and... More

Celebrating an anniversary in " The peaceful side if the Smokies"- Townsend, TN. Long weekend at the Richmont Inn cannot have been more comfortable, more relaxing, and more welcoming! The Bartram Room has an incredible view of the mountains, with an outdoor porch. So far, the food, and evening desserts(all homemade) has been amazing. Jim, the owner, has an amazing... More

Beautiful setting for this B&B. Staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful (especially Sam). Enjoyed the picnic lunch. Stayed in the Nancy Ward room, which is a spacious suite. It has a relaxing balcony. This is a good option, if it is in your price range.

We recently celebrated my birthday at the Richmont Inn, a unique B&B located in scenic Townsend "the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains". The host and hostess were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The Inn itself is very interesting, the design being a cantilevered barn. It is much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside.... More

My wife and I recently visited Richmont Inn. We've been several times but each visit I'm reminded why we come back. Richmont is a wonderful place. The staff and owners are focused on service and attention to the guests. We happened to be there on New Years Eve and New Years Day and enjoyed a dulcimer concert on New Year's... More

Great experience all the way around. Elegant and children friendly. Glass dining area has epic views. Jim has a great eye for graphic and fine art and it shows. The rooms are themed and the good art reinforces the themes. Real fireplaces. Gourmet dessert and breakfast was included. I normally don't stay in places this nice but it is a... More

My husband and I spent our 2nd Anniversary here and had a wonderful stay!! The room was very clean and very private. Breakfast each morning was lovely and dessert romantic. We stayed 2 nights and our first evening we had plans to do dinner in Gatlinburg. When we informed the Inn that we would not need dessert that night, the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Savor the Great Smoky Mountains ensconced in the most beautiful setting imaginable. Charming, elegant Richmont Inn, private and surrounded by forest, offers a relaxing, intimate "away-from-it-all" ambiance, ten minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Mountain panache at its best, rustic accents, such as wide-planked and slate floors and high exposed-beam ceilings, rub shoulders with 18th-century English antiques and French paintings. Attention to detail is punctuated by gracious and responsive service. Guest rooms honor Appalachian notables, with decor capturing individual mountain cultures and history. Breathtaking views of the Smokies, private balconies, spa tubs, woodburning fireplaces and a nature trail are but a few of the Inn's flourishes. A full sumptuous complimentary breakfast served in the main dining room allows you to take in the panoramic view of the Smokies in tree house fashion. International cuisine varies each day: French Baked Eggs, Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Pancakes with maple syrup, French Toast L'Orange with rum-soaked bananas, to name a few. Find homemade granola, crunchy shredded wheat, numerous dried fruits, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice at the beautifully laid breakfast bar. Come nightfall, return to the main dining room to partake in a candlelight ritual of award-winning gourmet desserts and flavored coffees. Make plans for the mouth-watering classic Swiss fondue dinner served in the Cove Cafe & Wine Bar, truly a dining experience to tuck away in the memory book. You can order the delightful Inn picnic to take on your pursuits. ... more   less
