Twenty -five dollars cheaper and far better than the bug infested, sleazy, and rude host to boot Family Inn . The Econo Lodge is nice for families and has a great breakfast thrown in. more

If 1st impressions count for anything to me I would have walked out the door within two minutes of speaking to the front desk clerk on duty (Janet). Only one word RUDE. She actually got hateful and beratted my husband and I for not knowing the tag number of our new car! She went so far to say in a... more

Good value for the money. The hotel could use a little updating, the card key doorlocks didnt work as well as I would have liked. The breakfast was okay...not great but hey its free. The room was simple but clean and the staff was very accomodating. We had our little dog with us and it was nice to stay someplace... more

We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Townsend, TN the 2nd week of August 2008.........on two SEPARATE occasions, the maid (housekeeping staff to be PC ) stole loose change from the top of the dresser !!! We brought this to the manager's attention........all he said was "I tell the district manager about it'..............we have multiple complaints pending with the nation... more

Townsend is a nice, quiet area and although I'm sure Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Cherokee appeal to many others for various reasons, Townsend is my favorite....different strokes for different folks. On a recent hiking trip, I spent 2 nights at the Econo Lodge. I'm sure it's more expensive during the summer and fall, but I reserved a very large 2... more

This motel is GREAT! The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and they have waffles. This is the only place that has breakfast included with your room. Nothing more to be said. Will always come back to this motel, and I will tell my friends. more

Stayed here 2 nights while doing biological research in the GSM national park. Pool was nice, wireless Internet worked great. The continental breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. There is not much going on in Townsend, and it is a very nice, peaceful alternative to noisy, over-developed, and somewhat insane Gatlinburg. Very convenient to areas on the west side... more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and couldn't wait to check out. I was traveling with my dog and it was the only hotel in the area that accepted pets. I see why this is so as the rooms were atrocious! When I first checked in I was sent to a room in the rear of the building,... more

This is an Econo Lodge but it was once a Comfort Inn. It still has the feel and room of a Comfort. Very clean and good size. The breakfast was great, even had the make your own waffles. The pool was fantastic, it wasn't heated but it was a great temperture for the 90+ degree days we were there. The... more

This Comfort Inn is now an EconoLodge. I enjoyed my stay there and will book a room there when I return to Townsend next year. The room was very clean and tended to very well by housekeeping. There was plenty of closet space and a more than ample fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast was average but, I thought the... more
