This is our second stay at a Dancing Bears cabin. Love it's location- not too touristy, nice and with with small local businesses. The cabins are beautiful and quaint. Love the trails throughout the property.

We have stayed here twice and will continue to do so in the future. The new management has made some wonderful changes that have added value to the experience of staying here. The cabins we've stayed in have been very comfortable. We really like the extras such as the fireplace, hot tub, wet bar, fridge, and breakfast in the cabin.... More

What a pleasant surprise! Stayed here for a 2 day, last minute weekend trip up to the mountains with my wife and really enjoyed it. Cabins are really cozy and well appointed, and staff, while not visible like a normal hotel, was great behind the scenes and helped make the trip incredibly enjoyable. Cabins were booked solid, so we had... More

Dancing Bear has consistently been an outlier in the world of lodges and cabins near Gatlinburg. It has the personal touch that can be easily overlooked. Complimentary snacks upon arrival. Quality toiletries and quiet large landscape. It feels more like staying with a friend or family member than a faceless company. Well maintained bike trails and tons of bikes that... More

Very nicely decorated cabin. Large stone fireplace. You just melt into the bed. Pillows were superb! Couch extremely comfy. Lovely stone dishes. Whirlpool tub. Plenty of seating in the cabin. Two rocking chairs on the porch. Walk-in closet. They provide the firewood. They have bikes and helmets available for your use without a fee. Great coffee, orange juice, Greek yogurt,... More

Since the new owners took over this place has come a long long way in a short period of time! Easy hassle free access to our cabin plus a great little start to the day with the awesome granola, yogurt , fresh fruit , oj, and Starbucks coffee!! Already in our cabin when we arrived !! Although the lodge and... More

My husband and I were in the Newfound Gap cabin for a week end. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Included hair dryer and basic dishes, pots and coffee maker with all the needed accessories. This cabin did have a huge oak tree that dropped acorns on the tin roof which woke us up a few times. Kind of... More

We had an excellent experience from check in through check out with the new set up. We had never been here before so we were not in the least bit bothered by the Lodge not being there. The approach to Dancing Bear is gorgeous and our cabin was superlative. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the airy mountain feel of... More

Staying in the Meigs Trail cabin at Dancing Bear Lodge with my wife and two daughters. Poor service and facilities. The bathtub won't fill due to the faulty drain stopper. The advertised Wi-Fi doesn't work. Worst of all they supplied a pack and play for our youngest but did not include the bottom support mat, leaving thin nylon over the... More

Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. We have just recently resumed management of the Dancing Bear property and unfortunately your stay appears to have taken place during the transitional period after the Lodge fire. We have worked through some of those issues and hope you will give us another try in the near future. More

Fire on 11/14/13 destroyed the main lodge and restaurant at Dancing Bear. The cabins however were not touched. We had three cabins reserved for the holidays and are going to make other plans since there won't be food service and the other special touches the Lodge is noted for. They will rebuild the structure but not sure when that will... More
