We found this inn off of groupon. This is our first time in Tennessee. We are a small family. The front staff are VERY frigidly and always willing to help. Very close to many attractions. The rooms are very nice, and clean. Great place to be.

Nice and Clean but very dated! The price for this Lodging was somewhat above what It would have cost in Pigeon Forge at this time of year (December 2014)! We got the King room with Fireplace and Jacuzzi, during the off season it was $100.00 per night and for what we got, a bit pricey! Beware of the Fireplace rooms,... More

We have visited this location for years while on vacation. It is Home away from home. From the Jacuzzi room to a king size accommodation it has consistently been friendly, clean, and private. In any concern the staff immediately finds the answer. Breakfast is quite accommodating with variety and is served in a cozy lobby with fireplace. I would ALWAYS... More

I've been here 3-4 times now and hope to return in the spring. Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room, beautiful grounds, nice views, reasonably priced. Close, convenient to Cades Cove. I like the gazebos, nice place to sit and read or study.

To the owner manager and every employee, We have vacationed the last 6 years in the Smokies. We always stay in Pigion Forge, but this year they had raised their price and wasn't nice about it. We decided to try Townsend, we had stayed there last year at another Hotel. Our stay at Highland Manor was Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The room was... More

It was like stepping back in time, and we loved it. The decor was from the 80's, but everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We stayed two nights during a retreat in November, 2014, and we'll definitely return. This is a family-owned motel, and it shows; they've taken great care of it. I asked for a coffee maker for... The location is great, above and set back from the road which can be busy. Some restaurants nearby so you can just walk but be careful crossing the road. The room was comfortable and the one thing I did not like was that the sheets and bed spread were not 100% cotton, but mostly or all polyester. I'd rather have... More

Thank you for your review of the Highland Manor Inn. It is always good to hear from guests so we will know how we're doing. Your comment about the sheets being a poly / cotton blend is a new one for me. We have always purchased the blended material sheets ever since we opened in 1982. They wear well and... More

We stayed two nights in October, 2014. It is a great location to visit Cades Cove, very close. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is older, but we found it clean. Our room had a dehumidifier, which was turned on when we arrived and after the first day we had to get instructions to empty it because it... More

Thank you for choosing the Highland Manor Inn as your place to stay while visiting Townsend in October. I want to apologize that you had to empty the dehumidifier in your room. We use them in our lower level rooms. These Terrace rooms are partially 'underground' because of the way we built the second floor rooms to also be ground... More

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting UT Knoxville then some fun time driving the roads. Very nice family owned and operated inn. The decor in the rooms might seem dated, but they are well maintained and clean. I was offered a ground floor room or the second level with the balcony; unfortunately I chose a ground floor room thinking... More

We found the Highland Motor Inn after spending the day hiking in the Cades Cove section of The Smoky Mountains National Park. We were exhausted and starving, and waitress at the restaurant across the street recommended the Highland Manor. It was late and we were pleasantly surprised, both by Beale in the front office and by the cleanliness of the... More
