We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2014. The campground is located just beside the Great Smoky National Park and is located on the "Little River" which is used for fishing and tubing in the summertime. A very clean and tidy park, it can handle most of the camping equipment from tents to 5th wheels to Class A RV's.... More

The campground and staff were amazing. The amenities are also great. Very close to the national park and there is 5 miles of bike trials across the street. The staff was great, they helped us and even checked up on us throughout the week. The cable TV and WiFi was very nice! Would stay again anytime! Easy to find as well.

We traveled last summer 2013. First week of July and stayed for 5 nights in our 5th wheel. Wonderful park and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The weather was perfect everyday. We got lucky and missed all the rainy weather that they had experienced just before we arrived. Its very wooded and peaceful. The bathrooms were nice. We... More

I rented a deluxe cabin at this KOA. The cabin was a great value. Very clean, well-furnished, and homey. The staff, especially Suzanne, was welcoming and helpful. We were there in the off-season so not much going on but you can tell there is a full slate of activities come summer. It was a peaceful place to come back to... More

Stayed in a deluxe cabin Christmas week. Very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean except the door does need to be cleaned or repainted. Glad to see that the futon had been replaced with a new sofa bed. Loved being next to the river all week!

Even though it was a rainy winter stay, being able to see the river from our rv (we were not on the river as the rv was too long) was relaxing. The people in the office were helpful. My in-laws weren't aware how low the propane was so it was quite chilly in the rv by the time we got... More

Excellent campground. Suzanne in the office was SO knowledgeable, nice, & helpful. Al took us to our site and helped get us situated. Al continued to assist campers if they needed help even when he was off duty. Both hard workers and care about the campers. All campgrounds should have a Suzanne & Al working for them! Only negative was... More

This year we stayed in the Deluxe Cabin at the Townsend KOA. It was very cute and served all our needs. It has a bathroom, small shower, two bedrooms (one with bunk beds) a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. Came with knives and forks. The cabin has air conditioning and a TV. You also have... More

Clean bathroomms and shower house. Staff checked and cleaned every campsite including the fire ring after checkout. Well maintained campground. Staff friendly and helpfull. Only complaint a little pricey but what you expect for a koa and the bath house is a good walk from the tent campsites .have portable restrooms nearby. Well probably stay again.

This was our first time here but it will definitely not be our last! We stayed 4 nights and it was the most peaceful and relaxing time we've ever had (except for the 2 1/2 hr pressure washing of the RV next to us one morning - which according to the terms and conditions was not supposed to be done!)...
