We, a middle-age American couple, arranged our stay at The old School at the last minute, and it worked out perfectly for us. The drive to Coveney from Ely delighted us, and Doris welcomed us and got us settled right in. I wish we had asked more questions about the history of the Old Schoolhouse! She converted this old schoolhouse... More

Had a short break at The Old School House over the easter weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Doris. Had a comfortable stay, nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Lovely quiet retreat but near to Ely and other places. Lovely views. Harley our dog enjoyed his stay and was warmly welcomed as well.

We broke our journey south here for one night and it made a very good start to our holiday. Doris was so obliging, putting a bike in her horsebox so we could go into Ely without it on back of car. We were able to make our own meal in the area outside our room, and the dining room and... More

I was there on a little business trip. The B&B is quite far off the main town of Ely, but I was taken care at the B&B very very well! Very caring and welcoming atmosphere. The staff all introduced themselves to me and I shouldn't hesitate to ak wether I needed anything. The B&B is very spacey and allows

My wife and I plus our 9 year old daughter needed a night's accommodation near Ely which is only 4 miles away. The Old School B&B was ideal and Coveney is such a pretty village. Doris could not have been more kind and welcoming. We felt at home right away and Francesca loved the ducks, the ponies, the dogs, the... More

Stayed for four nights and had an amazing time. Doris is so welcoming and kind and made our stay very enjoyable and was very accommodating for our 1 year old baby. The room was cosy and very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. We are hoping to go back soon. Thank you Doris for a lovely break.

We stayed one night at the old School and everything was splendid from the friendly welcome and quality of the accommodation to the lovely breakfast cooked to order in the morning. Country lovers would particularly like this with dogs and horses in evidence (but not obtrusive) and dogs were made welcome. Ely just a fifteen minute drive away and top... More
