We are a couple from Germany and we were on a trip from Philadelphia via Nashvile to Shelbyville. We stayed 2 nights (next time we will stay more nights!) at Lane Street Inn. It was an outstanding experience and a warm welcome upon arrival. As the rooms are one level up we were helped with our bags. Emily and Eben... More

Excellent B&B run by Emily and Eben, very down-to-earth caring couple. Great rooms, excellent breakfasts, cheesecake and wine, and true southern experience. Quiet and spacious. Central for middle Tennessee attractions. Recommended.

We are so happy you had a good stay. The cheesecake was a bonus recipe that Emily had just worked up. So glad you liked it. Our central location is a great plus especially for those visiting nearby Jack Daniel distillery. We hope to see you again soon! More

There is no other place to stay in Shelbyville that touches the Lane Street Inn. From the moment you arrive Emily and Eben make you feel at home. They are always there to help and offer advice and tips on the area, but they respect your privacy as well and leave you to yourself if that's what you want. We... More

This was very pleasant. The owners were gracious. If you have to be in this part of the world this is a nice option. The breakfast was good and owners were amenable to different breakfast requests. The room interiors were quirky and overly decorated but that was also part of the fun. Beautiful old house but the rest of the... More

Thanks for your kind review. We pride ourselves on each rooms' unique décor. It is one of the special things about staying here. You mentioned that the rest of the area is mediocre; but, I just want others to know that Shelbyville is only about 15 minutes from world-famous Jack Daniel Distillery (which offers free tours). Also nearby is the... More

We could have had a nicer introduction to Shelbyville, Bell Buckle and a B&B experience. My husband and I have always been leery of B&B's as we are private people and are used to 5 star hotels ... Well, Lane Street Inn, with our hosts, Emily and Eben, could not have been a finer experience. Beautiful home, beautifully restored....wine at... More

Wow! Thanks for such a nice review. Lane Street Inn is not really a "typical" B&B experience. Every one of our guestrooms are setup with the sort of amenities you would find in a nice hotel like 32-inch flat panel TVs with premium cable channels, in-room fridge and personal control of your heating and air-conditioning. We use the finest quality,... More

Don't hesitate to stay here. We were fortunate to stumble across this beautiful house whilst driving through Shelbyville on a Southern tour. You will not find a more charming property, or such accommodating hosts as Emily and Eben. We stayed in the Sierra room/suite, which had a Western theme, nothing tacy, wonderfully executed. All of the guest rooms have different... More

Thanks for your review. We love our visitors from UK. It is so much fun to share stories with our friends across the pond. Thanks for your comment "wonderfully executed". We take pride in our themed rooms without going overboard. Like you said "nothing tacky". The first floor is often used for small events and retains much of the old-world... More

Recently my friends and I reserved The Rat Pack suite for a weekend night, as we had a bit of a business trip in the area. We could not have asked for a better experience. Absolute relaxation and comfort! We settled in and made ourselves at home...and I think we would have each taken our beds home with us if... More

Although my sister grew up in TN, she has since lived in WI for several decades, but when she came to visit me in my retirement home of Nashville this past year, she asked that part of our vacation together be involved with a " Memories Tour. Yours was a very kind and thoughtful review and we have taken much too long to respond. We are so lucky to have guests like you who took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, when we acquired Lane Street Inn in 2007, it needed a lot of work. Since we became the owners, caretakers really, we have invested thousands... More
