This bed and breakfast is family owned and they take 'southern hospitality' to the next level. We decided to stay here for our weekend getaway celebrating my birthday. The bed and breakfast itself is located just far enough off the beaten path of the tourist areas that you can come and go as you please between tourist and simple country.... More

This is our second trip. It is the best bed and breakfast ever. The owners are wonderful. They make you feel at home. They take time to answer any questions and make suggestions for you to enjoy yourself while you are there. They breakfasts are fantastic. We stayed three nights and the breakfast was different every day. They make fabulous... More

We decided to celebrate our ninth anniversary here and what a beautiful, hidden gem! This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and it was perfect. We both agreed that our future returns to the area will be spent at the Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn! The staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful, and breakfast is delightful.... More

This B&B is run by a wonderful family! So personable and they want you to feel at home. It's clean, comfy & gorgeous scenery! Loved the huge porch! The full breakfast was just what my husband loves. Desserts were absolutely the best! BTW, all home baked each day! We are talking top of the line cakes, cookies, cobblers...We only stayed... More

This is a family owned bed and breakfast that has passed from the parents to the two sons. If you have never considered a B&B as they are often referred to, I highly recommend it. It is a drastically different alternative to the same ole hotel that serves breakfast as you are made to feel like family versus nameless patrons... More

Nestled in the mountains of Tennessee is this absolutely fabulous Bed & Breakfast. It is family owned and operated and, thus, is a reflection of this wonderful family's charm and dedication to making each guest's stay a memorable one. My favorite part of our 4-night stay there in August 2013 was sitting on the wrap-around porch each morning drinking fresh-brewed... More

Best place we stayed here years ago... I loved this place always friendly and also the food was exceptional as usual. Eric the Famous baker, always prepared a cake, cookie or brownie for us daily.. this is WHAT A BED AND BREAKFAST SHOULD BE LIKE, unlike others... I could give you all 1million stars... for everything... we love the soaps... More

Got a deal from Groupon and so glad we took the chance. This inn was lovely, the room (Fort Shields) was clean and decorated beautifully. The mountain view was amazing from the room, from the porch, from the dining room....everywhere. Breakfast is so yummy, but my favorite were the desserts. Each night there were at least three different homemade delights.... More

We stayed here for another anniversary getaway in October 2013 and it was just as enjoyable as our first visit, which was back in 1997. We stayed in the Lady's Slipper cabin and in the Shield's room and loved both. We will definitely be back and look forward to our next stay.

Just returned from spending another weekend at Blue Mountain Mist and the experience was just as good as the first time. Love this place and enjoyed meeting Sarah and Norman at breakfast on Sunday. Enjoyed "temptation station" and all the goodies served. Will be back for 3rd visit. So relaxing.
