July 12-15 We just came home from a long weekend vacation at the Wilderness at the Smokies Resort. This was our second trip there, our last one was over 4 years ago and many new water rides and activities have been added. We stayed in the River Lodge. The first room we were in was the Bunk room. It was... More

We had been apprehensive to go here due to mixed reviews. However, we decided to give it a try for a weekend away for our 9 yr old son. We arrived about 12:30 and our room was ready. The room was a 2queen room at Stone Hill Lodge. The room was very nice. Linens could have been a tad newer... More

If commercial airlines ever ran an indoor water park, this would be it. A fairly new facility, it was already showing obvious signs of wear and tear. Being run down from the high volume of family tourists that frequent the many attractions of this area. Room accommodations are still pretty good (when you can catch a discount deal on-line). The... I thought with the price of these rooms (we stayed in the River Lodge Studio Suite) that the rooms would be above standard. They weren't..1 queen bed had holes in the top sheet...wash cloths were stained, and who knows how long it's been since the carpets were cleaned...they were filthy..the sink and tub would hardly drain..We stayed 4 nights in... This resort is very family friendly and would recomend it, food is high priced even though they say kids eat free. alot of activities for kids to do and is clean to what i saw. Stay at the Hotel where the indoor and outdoor park is, the other outdoor park is not worth the trip, very small and crowded. Rooms... More

We stayed in the River Lodge. Our suite had plenty of room. We learned from a past experience not to get a small bunk room or a two-bed room. I am a "clean freak" and was pleased with the cleanliness of the room. We had plenty of towels and the bed linens were clean and neat. The outside pool area... More

The resort is huge, and even though it was completely full when we stayed, you didn't feel crowded. Plenty of space for everyone. Rooms definitely have a lodge feel, and were clean and have the amenities you need. Bathroom were a little small, but I appreciated a separate tub and shower. Staying on the water park side was a plus... More

We made a last minute trip to Wilderness - and stayed at the place with the 'kids' pool and swim area. GREAT for a 7 year old who can't swim. Visited the place across the street - not as great in person as in the photos. Things need painted, cleaned, etc. The indoor pool area was SO humid and ...... More

Only one downside to my trip to the Wilderness with my children. I ordered the All-Stay Adventure passes. When I received my confirmation showing the total - it was not itemized. I incorrectly assumed that it included everything. Unhappily surprised at check-in that the to find that I owed more than I had budgeted. It was not a huge deal, but... More

We had a BUnk Suite queen room with 2 queen beds and a twin bunk bed in the River Lodge section. The room was on the small side. Cute in decor. This is about getting maximum occpuancy on the property not luxury ammenities. Had 2 flat screen TVs a refidge and a microwave. The bathroom very small. Shower was good with... More
