Took a late summer fishing/lake trip with a friend. We stayed here because of location and affordability. We purchased a fishing package (off season) for a double occupancy room with a boat rental. The rates are incredible. Check their website and see. We got what we paid for, plus great hospitality. An employee there gave us some tips that paid off pretty well and offered up his plastic worm box for us to use, telling us which colors were producing. Another plus for us is that they weren't crowded. Only one other room was booked.

The owners are very friendly and had breakfast when we said we'd be up to eat it. Biscuits, gravy with sausage bits, cereal and juice, plus some banana nut bread one day and sweet rolls another day. And coffee, too. A fine starter meal. Other than that, it was a no-frills experience, but no-frills is a GOOD thing. Restaurants are down the road. The sitting room is nice, the windows are big, etc., but we didn't spend much time there.
