We didn't stay at the inn, but ate at the restaurant. The park is beautiful and can be enjoyed by the entire family. The restrooms are atrocious and the restaurant was certainly not worth the price. Our server was inept, the salads drowned in dressing, and our waters never refilled. This park has great scenery, but PACK A PICNIC lunch.

This is a situation where you come for the scenery, not the lodging. The park is absolutely beautiful and our entire family enjoyed! You come here knowing it's not a 5 star hotel, so don't set the bar too high. It's dated, but clean. We hope to come back in the fall to enjoy the leaves changing. Enjoy!

We traveled mid-week and stayed in the section built in the '80s. Got a comfortable king bed and a balcony. Towels were great. The inn is a bit dated and basic so I'd give it a 3.5, but the park was a 4. The signage is a bit of a challenge. It was a rainy night and we had to... More

The inn is very dated, but was very clean & comfortable. Bring extra pillows, as the pillows are very thin & flat. No frills here, but there is a one cup coffee maker in the room. Water pressure in shower is excellent! Balcony over lake- lovely!

We booked our room through Groupon. A great value and so much to do. Make sure to take a drive at 6 am when the deer are out eating breakfast. The buffet is a nice value especially for lunch/dinner. Make sure to pack a cooler as this place is pretty remote yet so worth it!

We took a weekend trip up to Pikeville to check out the famous Fall Creek Falls. The Inn was great! Listen folks, this isn't a fancy hotel with all the bells and whistles. It has great rooms, great beds, great employees (always helpful and nice!), and GREAT views! You can open the patio door and listen to the sounds of... More

Cat pee smell as you enter the room. Was told the room would sleep 5, so we expected sofa sleeper. Nope, and it was $10 extra for a roll away, that we declined. Beautiful area and wild life, but the bed made me realize how Fred Flinstone must have felt. Find a better place to eat than the restaurant there... More

I will say it over and over again it is so beautiful here!! The room was what I am used to for a state park, except there is a tile floor in out pet friendly room. I think every hotel should have tile. I just found the pet friendly area, on our last day. The front desk girl failed to... More

I read the previous reviews, so I had a realistic expectation going into my weekend stay. The room was basic and relatively clean. Didn't see any bed bugs. My biggest issue was the lack of cell phone service for most of my trip. I have Verizon service. Others with AT&T didn't have much of an issue. There was no WiFi.... More

For a State Park, I was impressed. Sure, the fixtures and furnishings were aged. I'd have been disappointed if I was at a Hyatt. But, for a outdoorsy experience on the lake, it was nice. Kitchen was adequate for the meals we cooked. We had a lakeside cabin, and that was really nice. The only thing I'd keep in mind... More
