No clock, no radio, no coffee pot, no iron/ironing board, dead bugs in lights, door that requires a firm shoulder to force open, a pool & elevator from your nightmares, electric plugs hanging out. Old hard mattress, squeaky box springs, hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor. The shower head was pulled away from the wall. Holes in... More

If you are looking for a high class hotel, this place is not for you. If you are looking for a friendly, quaint, chilled atmosphere, come here. I reserved a room, King size with fireplace and Spa, through booking.com for a weekend getaway with my husband. When we got to the hotel, me reservation could not be found. The desk... More

This is quite a nice place to stay for those who travel on a budget. Clean beds n bath. Some updates. My room looks just like the picture and all the back units have access to picnic table n grill on the creek bank with individual covered patios. Back units are not on the strip so it's quiet and has... More

I have been on an extended stay in Pigeon Forge, TN. Out of the several motels I have stayed at here in Pigeon Forge, River Lodge South is the best value and nicest people. Gail Smith is a blessing to every person she meets!

As soon as you see the room, you hope that you still have time to run before your stuck here. But if you book online, your stuck here. OK spiderwebs are out of control, dusty older linen. There was a pump soap dispenser on shower wall and it was old and crusty, but no fear someone left a bar of... More

I've been staying at this hotel for 15+ years and we look forward to it every year. It's been in a new ownership every year we've been there for a couple years now, but we thought we would still give it a chance because it was perfect. I had always looked over the low quality of some things and just... More

We called front desk and was told the lady would call us back, nope did not hear from her either. The Continental breakfast was... More

We stayed here for a couple nights. Sure the hotel is old, the rooms smell a bit, the air conditioner takes a little TLC to get right, but all and all this room was not horrible. It was reasonably clean and for the price it's not a bad place to stay. This is pigeon forge, not Vegas.

First, the room was WARM. That mattered because it was freezing outside and they weren't expecting us. We left a hotel in Cherokee because it was TERRIBLE and drove back to Pigeon Forge that night. We sleep on a king bed and were trying to find a hotel with a room with one. Now, the décor was terribly outdated. In... More
