Check is was quick, rooms were ready and they were as expected for a state park. Our biggest complaint this year was the quality of the food-Friday night is usually a seafood buffet but all they had this year was whole fried fish and baked chicken. The fish was real greasy and not fried well at all, we were not... More

We didn’t stay at the Inn but decided to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner there. As you would expect, the crowd was large and with no reservations taken for less than 8 in the party we had to wait. But the que was effectively managed by having using all available tables then quickly cleared and prepared. The buffet was hot and the... More

We stayed at the cabins here rather than the inn and loved it. We got a 2 BR for a pretty reasonable price but keep in mind we were there during the off season (late fall after peak colors). They have wood burning heat in the cabin if you want the rustic feel or you can use the regular ac/furnace.... More

Situated by the lakeside near Pickwick dam, our church ladies had a wonderful retreat. There is also a pontoon ride around the lake with a historical review of TVA building the dam. Food is great too.

We have been to Pickwich several times. It is the gem of the Tennessee State Parks. the Inn sits right on Pickwick Lake and you can see the dam from most rooms. The views are amazing. If there is a drawback it would be that the bottom floors are below ground level and sometimes things down there smell a bit... More

I stayed at the Inn recently when in town for my High School reunion. Checking in felt a bit like a trip to the DMV - hardly the reception you expect when checking into a hotel. My room was on the ground floor - the hallway was rather gloomy, but clean. The room had not been updated in, perhaps, decades.... More

The first thing I would like to comment on is how well kept the grounds are. The landscaping was absolutely first rate. Upon entering the building the lobby was clean. Front desk check in experience was okay, nothing real special. Our needs were met but there was definitely a smiling face missing. We entered the hallway to our room from... More

All rooms have a great view of the lake, and we were able to tie our boat up right at the hotel. The staff was friendly upon check in. The room had a GREAT air conditioner, as I was advised that the rooms tend to get hot. Ours was cool, even chilly. The air conditioner was rather noisy, but that... More

I've literally been visiting every year since I was born! I think we were on the 6th floor this last trip & that does provide the best view for sure. And yes the paper mill does smell pretty bad sometimes but other times, you don't smell it at all, so don't let that stop you. I was used to it,... More

I really, really want to like this place. I really do. I've been there for a family reunion weekend each summer for two years. And I won't go back. The setting is beautiful, the hotel looks like it belongs on a lake, our 6th floor suite was huge, they have great park rangers with arts and craft kid activities in the... More
