My daughter lives in Oakland, TN, and she had a house full for Thanksgiving. So, my wife's parents and us stayed at a nearby bed and breakfast to keep the house sane. We found The Old Church House to be very accommodating. One has to remember that it is an old remodeled church, but the rooms were very spacious and... More

What a unique place to stay. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Old Church House B & B. Louise is a very good hostess. It is a lovely and pleasant place. How wonderful to have such restful, peaceful sleep in a church house. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was delicious.

The last night of a 10 day journey lead us to Oakland, Tennessee for an unexpectedly pleasant night's stay. The Old Church House Bed & Breakfast was beautiful and very serene in its setting and accomodations. Wow, my wife and I happened upon this place while traveling thru Memphis with our three children. For the same price as a regular hotel - you get personal rooms and personal service! Breakfast served with love and care - we almost felt like royalty! Oh, and the bathrooms are awesome... The old church house is simply a wonderful place... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay outside of Memphis before heading towards Nashville. I saw this place online and booked a room. It was very nice - beautiful old church building made into B&B with three nice guest rooms. We had a king bed, soaking tub in a handicapped-accessible bathroom. We had the run of... More

My husband and celebrated our anniversary here. I do all the reservations for everything, and when my husband walked up to the place he was was wondering what did I get him into this time. However, we were both so amazed at the tall ceilings, great decor, and friendliness of the owners. It was such a unique experience and I... More

The stay was only a one night get-away, but it was outstanding. Though pretty, the outside looks like an ordinary brick church except for the sign in the yard that explains it is a B&B. The inside is the treat. We stayed in the Charity Room. It is decorated in black & white, very tastefully done - it reminded me... More
