We stayed 1 night at the Holiday Inn Select. They are currently going through a major renovation. None of the rooms have been upgraded according to the front desk. The renovations should be done by the fall. As far as the room we got, it was clean, but pretty boring. It seemed like it was refreshed a few years ago,... more

The big selling point of this hotel is its location across from the Parthenon in Nashville. The city is proud to have this full-scale replica of the ancient Greek temple as a centerpiece of its large park. The area is considered very safe for pedestrians; we enjoyed a long walk in the park in the early evening. The Parthenon is... more

The internet connection here is impossible to use for work. It drops constantly and is very slow. The staff is incompetent and rude. To make things worse, they try to rip you off with their use of lodgenet and will not let you hook up your own DVD or game console to their TVs. The rooms are expensive, but they... more

It was one of the cleanest hotels in which I have ever stayed. I don't know how they do it, but other hotels could take their lead. It was a older hotel, but amazingly did not show it's age. The people were nice and helpful, too. For me one of the best things was free parking. I would stay there... more

A friend and I wanted to stay a few days after a conference we were attending in Nashville to see the city. Unfortunetly, she was sick most of the time we were there, but the hotel was very helpful. The shuttle was extremely helpful and when they said they were coming to pick me up at one point downtown, something... more

We were in Nashville to attend the TN State High School Swim meet. The hotel was just across West End Avenue from the Sports Complex so it was very convenient. The hotel allowed us to check in early and everything was clean, comfortable and very nice. We will definately stay here again on our next trip to Nashville. more

We arrived after a long day of medical appointments / tests preceding a surgery scheduled for the next morning for our child. Outside, torrential rains and a tornado watch was in effect. It was 2:05 PM. I approached the desk and said 'checking in' - before I could even complete the words the employee cut me off saying "Check in... more

Stayed here this time as my last hotel experience in Nashville was a bit of a disaster. This was everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn Select. Breakfast, however, was not included. Clean, functional, no problems, in the heart of downtown - great view of the Parthenon (the one near Vanderbilt). more
