We have stayed at this property a few times and will continue to return. The location is perfect for doing anything on Vanderbilt's campus, plus there are lots of great eateries and activities nearby. The renovation is a huge plus, the check-in was easy and pleasant, the free breakfast (we were given coupons at check-in) was very good, and our... more

We stay at at the Holiday Inn Select about once a month and the staff are wonderful! They remember us and treat us like family. The remodel is wonderful....the lobby is a great place to study peacefully, chat and do just about anything! It is so convenient to the Vanderbilt Campus and if you like to Walk or Run there... more

If you're going to an event at Vanderbilt this is the hotel you want to be in. We attended a sold out concert at Vanderbilt Stadium and didn't have to worry about anything. We walked to the venue (a 10 minute walk). Also the Hotel is conveniently located. It's about eight miles for Downtown Nashville and two miles to Music... more

We stayed here while visiting the university. It is easy walking distance to the campus. If you request the Vanderbilt rate when booking you will get a better deal and breakfast coupons for the restaurant. It was recently renovated and the rooms are very nice with a small refrig and microwave in each room. more

This hotel is located on West End Avenue within walking distance of some very nice restaurants and some fast food restaurants. Nice restaurants within walking distance include: Ted's Montana Grille (next door), PF Changs 0.05 miles, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse 0.05 miles, and others I can't recall the name of now. Maggiano's Little Italy is maybe 2 tenths of a mile... more

Under major renovations, the workout room is a joke. It's half a normal hotel room, packed with 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticles, a stepper and 6 dumbells, all side-by-side, and I do mean that. There is no room between each machine. No air circulation in the room is bad too, and one machine is jammed in a closet area! more

All in all, not bad but the hotel is undergoing renovations and the hammering started at 7:00 am! We comlained the first day and were promised it would not start until at least 8:00 the following morning. WRONG - it began again way before 8:00 am. We complained again and all was quiet the third day. Our bill was adjusted... more

We stayed 1 night at the Holiday Inn Select. They are currently going through a major renovation. None of the rooms have been upgraded according to the front desk. The renovations should be done by the fall. As far as the room we got, it was clean, but pretty boring. It seemed like it was refreshed a few years ago,... more

The big selling point of this hotel is its location across from the Parthenon in Nashville. The city is proud to have this full-scale replica of the ancient Greek temple as a centerpiece of its large park. The area is considered very safe for pedestrians; we enjoyed a long walk in the park in the early evening. The Parthenon is... more

The internet connection here is impossible to use for work. It drops constantly and is very slow. The staff is incompetent and rude. To make things worse, they try to rip you off with their use of lodgenet and will not let you hook up your own DVD or game console to their TVs. The rooms are expensive, but they... more
