My fiancé and I came to town for a birthday weekend for a couple of friends. We loved this place. The food was excellent, Ellen had great recommendations for dinner and the breakfasts were fantastic. Our room was very clean and had plenty of room to move around. Each room has it's own shower and restrooms, so you won't be... More

After looking at the hotel prices in downtown Nashville, I searched for an alternative and found something wonderful! The Big Bungalow is a charming home. it's right on the edge of a neighborhood that is "turning over," and the neighborhood is a great place to explore. Ellen has many suggestions for places to visit, and her suggestions were wonderful. She... More

It was our first time in Nashville, and me and my husband really couldn't make up our mind to stay in one of the standard hotels in the city. They all looked pretty much the same, were rather expensive and none stood out it seemed to us. Coming from Europe, we wanted something a bit more personal in order to... More

This was our first stay with Ellen W at the Big Bungalow, and it won't be our last. Its a great value. We stayed in the largest room; the bed was very comfortable and the bath truly luxurious - Wonderful thoughtful items like makeup removal towelettes and good toiletries. Next time we will plan enough time to have a massage!... More

Ellen greeted us like friends. This is the way a B&B should be! Our room was very nice and the B&B is close enough to the city that you could walk across the pedestrian bridge... but it was raining! The breakfast, and the company of the other guests at breakfast, was VERY nice! I'd LOVE to come back and stay... More

This is a great bed and breakfast. We stayed for a week. For starts Ellen is such a great host. If you don't know quite what you're doing she will always have a good suggestion. The b&q is right next to East Nashville also, which has so much good stuff to do and places to eat. Really felt home there.... More

We enjoyed our stay at the bed-and-breakfast, and in Nashville with all the music it provides. We were greeted by a very nice employee as we arrived and the room was larger than we had expected. The only downfall was it was a little far away from where we needed to be while visiting Nashville. The breakfast was quite enjoyable,... More

I was referred to the Big Bungalow by another B&B that was full and I'm certainly glad they did! The house was beautiful and filled with amazing artwork, some of which was created by Ellen's artist family & friends. It was cozy, inviting and I truly felt I was staying at the house of a much-loved family friend. I also... More

An excellent B & B in an older section of Nashville, a neighborhood of saved and preserved Craftsman style homes, which I love. Ellen Warshaw is the owner and operator and makes sure you're taken care of and well fed in the morning, with LARGE, delicious breakfasts. If you're not a big eater in the morning be sure and mention... More

Get out of the hotels/motels and in to a wonderful place in a neighborhood in East Nashville where you can see something besides the highways and the chain restaurants! The Big Bungalow is a beautiful bed and breakfast. It's clean, comfy, some nicely decorated and you'll feel at home in the midst of an older Nashville neighborhood that's becoming an... More
