I was traveling over 1.200 miles in 3 days and arrived at Apple Annie's Inn late the first night. It was in a questionable neighborhood and I was greeted at security window just outside the locked lobby by a man who had a thick accent and was difficult to understand. Apple Annie's Inn...well...It's basically in the middle of nowhere with strip joints and bars everywhere. I was approached by a drug dealer within the first few minutes of my family arriving....after that it just got better... I soon realized that the lock to my room was broken. Apple Annie's is about 2 miles from downtown in a pretty bad neighborhood. I felt pretty safe- could be worse. The place did have clean sheets but there were stacks of old mattresses' next to the parking lot and that was pretty gross-The room was out dated and dark but like I said- could be worse-this place seemed to be...
