My family stayed here a number of times while daughter was a student at Vanderbilt. The best thing about the hotel is its location. The hotel is attractive, rooms comfortable, but nothing special. Valet parking fee ($14) is steep. Service was good and the fitness center better than some. The rooms were always pricey for the amenities, but the rate... more

Overall the hotel is nice and has good location. The biggest problem is that you do not have an option to self-park. They know most people are going to have to park so why add another $19 a day to their bill. I am sure most people do not even realize this situation until they are already having to pay... more

Stayed during May graduation. Perfect location for visiting the university and only a 7 minute drive to downtown. Rooms were much nicer than an average Marriott more

My family stayed at this hotel while attending the graduation festivities at Vanderbilt, and it couldn't have been more convenient. We were able to walk out the door and be at all of the various events within minutes. (And, for football games, the stadium literally is out the hotel's back door and across the alley.) Our room was very comfortable,... more

Not that great of a hotel overall, but it will do for a visit to your kids in college there or if you are planning to go there and want to see the campus. It's conveniently located on the campus, near a lot of restaurants. Not a lot of amenities offereed at the hotel itself for a Marriott, so I... more

My husband, daughter and I stayed here when visiting Vanderbilt U because it is right on the campus. In fact, our room looked out over the beautiful football stadium. We were indeed able to walk on to the campus. As far as the hotel, we found the front desk to be extremely helpful, with excellent recommendations about sightseeing. I wish... more

Check in service was fast and efficient. Great valet service. Room service was fast and efficient but the food was not very good. The beds were horrible!!! The maids were constantly trying to get into our room at 9 am and there was constant noise on the floor in the early morning. The hotel is overpriced for the quality of... more

Be warned that this hotel is undergoing major renovation. On arrival, the guy at the check-in desk was completely unhelpful. I had planned to self park ($16 vs $20 for valet) but he did such a terrible job directing me to the garage that I chose to valet. Probably worth the $4 difference but I was trying to be frugal.... more

My daughter and I were visiting Vanderbilt and wanted to stay on the campus so we booked directly with the hotel to get a University rate. The first person I spoke with didn't know anything about it but eventually did find out that they had a $159 rate for Vanderbilt visitors. When we showed up after a 7 hour drive... more

Needed a room for after a Keith Urban concert. Most places were sold out but decided to try Priceline. Hit at $95; subsequently, I was able to bid for seven other rooms at the same price. The staff was very nice especially the valets, the front desk staff and Randy, the driver. The Marriott has free shuttle service (a Suburban)... more
