Stayed here for 2 nights while I did the Conutry Music Marathon in April. What made this appealing was that I had shuttle transportation to the race ( and back) while my family could entertain themselves in this hotel complex while I ran. the complex is huge with several restaurants on site of all types. It is a 20 minute... more

We had never been to Nashville before but we decided to stay at the Gaylord hotel. We had heard that it is a huge hotel and you will do a lot of walking...but we couldn't find another hotel with an atmosphere, restaurants and entertainment. When we got there we didn't know which door to go in, it was huge. But... more

Before the recent renovation, I would not recommend this hotel. However, I highly recommend this resort because the new rooms are beautiful. Keep in mind that the resort is very large and spread-out so it is more of a destination than a hotel. The boat ride in the hotel is a dissappointment. All dining options are very expensive and lack... more

i am going to tell you practical things for this hotel as not many people on these reviews tell you the things you need to know. location is about 20 minutes from the airport and it is cheaper to get a taxi than the hotel shuttle. it cost us $25 flat fee. upon arrival we were upgraded and we had... more

We stayed here from April 4 to April 9th, 2008 for an elementary principals' convention. About the time we learned how to get around this behemoth place, it was time to go. I think they use the casino philosophy.... make it hard to exit and provide just about anything they think you will need (at highly inflated prices). Because this... more

I was informed that this is the largest hotel in a US without a casino and I wouldn't doubt it. Unless you have been to this hotel you would never be able to understand how completely huge it is. It is ridiculous to try to navigate it but it is so fun and entertaining. We paid $219 for a room... more

I was managing an event at the Opryland and stayed at the hotel for a week. Pros: Food was great, staff was helpful. Cons: Price, Location, & crazy size of the hotel, rooms were below par Based on the price of the rooms compared to other hotels in Nashville you would assume that they would be nice updated rooms. I... more

Wine "Bait and Switch" in both the Old Hickory and in the Cascades Restaurants. They did not have the wine listed on the menu (year) and brought out and inferior year and did not inform us. They still charged the amount for the premium year listed on the menu though even when we told them the wine was not the... more

Spent one night at the Opryland Hotel 4/08 from DC. Hotel is nice and gardens are beautiful, but would have been an ok value at under $200, not $310. The rooms are ok, but no nicer than an embassy suites. Little irritations kept happening during our stay that you wouldn't expect from such an expensive place. Closed reception desk upon... more

This hotel is big. Silly big. You can't simply walk from place A to place B without a map. The staff are all nice and helpful. They are used to directing people around. And they are used to working with large groups. They were very helpful at all times. The food isn't bad. It's about standard for a decent hotel.... more
