Can't really describe this hotel. It is huge and it encapsulates everything within a giant greenhouse. I understand it is apparently very " Eco" but I found it uncomfortable, claustrophobic and oppressive. Due to the size of this resort finding your room is difficult and we were not offered any assistance with our luggage so had to pull our cases... More

Beautiful grounds and nicely decorated, but man is this place. beast. There is NOTHING that is convenient to anything else. Give yourself 20 min. minimum getting in and out if this place. And I probably don't have to tell you the the prices for vending, dining, attractions require donation of your firstborn. I stay in a lot of hotels, and... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days for a conference and still didn't see the whole thing. The hotel is beautiful inside with flowers waterfalls and even a river. My room was nice but not clean there was even a glob of hair left in shower. It was cleaned up by housekeeping, but the manager didn't comp or upgrade.

Just came back from a 3 nite stay, Overpriced. I will say the Hotel itself is beautiful, the gardens, the ambiance and would recommend anyone to visit it but not stay. Breakfast is $30 per person, we are talking bacon and eggs here, nothing more. Had lunch, 3 of us, bill was over $100. Waiter asked if we would like... More

I stayed here recently while attending a convention and though this resort is beautiful, it's just too big! You are given a map during check-in so you can figure out where you are going. I would recommend just walking around for a little while, after you've done that once or twice you will be able to navigate well enough. Also,... More

Stayed here for a convention and place was perhaps the best place I have stayed in ever. The grounds were the biggest and most amazing part of the trip......food so so.........unbelievable in door atrium's the size of football fields.....a reasonable cab ride to city center.

Arrived, after prepaying for the room I might add, to be told that they did not have the type of room I had requested. Was told that "I can see the type of room you requested, but we do not guarantee the room type." Seriously?!? You charge this kind of rate, take payment in advance, and then tell the customer... The Gaylord is enormous and grand But the lack of helpful staff and the enormity of the place made for a very frustrating stay. The rooms were clean but not what I expected for the price we paid. The towels were scratchy, not up to the standard one would expect at a high end hotel. I was there for business... More

I'm shocked that there are mixed reviews of this place. I just left from a 2 night stay with my daughters (10 year old twins) and we just loved it. There is an enormous indoor pool that they used for hours. There's a large outdoor hot tub, too. We had dinner at the Old Hickory Steakhouse and it was delicious... More

I stayed at the Opryland Hotel with a group of HS students and parents for a long weekend. I have been at the hotel before and I LOVED watching the faces of the students when we walked into the Cascades area. The rooms were clean and a decent size. It was nice there was an additional sink and mirror outside... More
