We stayed here for one night after completing the Rail Trail cycle and what a pleasure to have such a comfortable stay after many KM in the saddle. The room was lovely and very comfortable with a huge shower and all the mod cons. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the common area. Our Host, Lisan was most accommodating... More

We've been wanting to come here for years and were not disappointed. We pre-booked by phone. Check-in was easy and friendly, we were shown to our room upstairs (the Red room) with hints of oriental theme and en-suite with all very modern amenities. The large room had a queen bed, air conditioning/heating, DVD TV, Hi-Fi system and sitting area with... More

My husband & I stumbled across this place a few years ago and have since had many visits - enjoying the lovely drive from where we live in the Outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We recently enjoyed a wonderful anniversary lunch. The steak and accompanying seafood & sauce was a 'melt in your mouth' taste sensation. My husband quickly devoured... More

We stayed here for the final night of a road trip from QLD to Melbourne. We were in the garden suite. The accommodation was the most expensive of our trip, but the most basic. The room was spacious and pleasant, but for the price we had high expectations, and were a little disappointed in the cheapest tea, coffee and toiletries,... More

Hi Lottalists's Thank you for your comments and we are glad that you enjoyed your meal. We try hard to make every customer's stay pleasant . We are disappointed that you did not enjoy our plunged coffee or toiletries in the room. They are the same brands that are used at both Jupiter casino and the Sheraton Hotels, so we... More

We booked one night as well as dinner and Sunday lunch. Peter rang prior to arrival to apologise that he had upgraded us to the Peppercorn suite, which was fine with us. Our welcome by Peter was friendly and informative. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed our dinner- we both chose the locally produced premium steaks... More

We stayed overnight whilst on a driving holiday & were so pleased we did. Great room, spacious, clean, very comfortable & amazing claw foot bath tub. I know why people love them now! It was winter when we stayed but it was warm & lovely. THe restaurant is an absolute stand out. We have eaten in Michelin star restaurants in... More

We stayed at the Peppercorn Hotel in the “luxury suite”. This is a very nice place, which I was very surprised by as I thought we would be staying in a pub and once upon a time it would have been. Now it is really a combination of accommodation and restaurant. We did not try the restaurant. Our room was... More

The food is fantastic! The service is fantastic! The people are friendly, and love to have a genuine chat if you engage them. Sadly the property is up for sale and we will miss Peter when they sell ... big shoes for the new owners to fill!! A lovely day's drive from suburban Melbourne.

My daughter turned 21 recently and we celebrated the occasion with a lovely lunch for family and friends (approx 50 people) at the Peppercorn Hotel. Organising this luncheon was so simple, thanks to our hosts, Peter and Lisan. The food was amazing, service was spot on and the venue was perfect! All of our guests commented on the quality of... We had a very good stay, in the hotel's annex - a self-contained unit, a little way from the hotel. We had access to one roomy bedroom (I think that a second bedroom can be made available), a very pleasant lounge/diner with a full range of broadcast television, and full kitchen facilities. The only slight drawback, was that the road... More
