Enjoyed a late Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. The food was excellent with good portion sizes. Everyone enjoyed what they had. My son loved the Crispy Popcorn Pork, and my Chicken Liver Pate was very tasty. We could see that the pub obviously gets very busy during regular lunch service, so waiting that little bit longer to go in... More

We were close to the end of a motoring trip from Adelaide to Melbourne and detoured to the Yarra Valley. This hotel looked OK on the web and we booked it for a Friday night stay. The receptioniste was very helpful, but it was all downhill from there. The room might have been grand 40 years ago but it had... More

The people working were very nice and hospitable but the food was inedible. The worst part is the whole restaurant was filled with flies so even if I had wanted to eat the food I would have had to constantly brush flies away.

Restaurant review only. Attended Christmas eve dinner with about 12 family members, the meals & service were great, but the Pub needs a makeover and a good clean. Its a bit dated .Meals prices were reasonable and facilities were good

An amazing place to celebrate a birthday when you have littlies in tow. Staff were very accommodating. Food was amazing. Extra little details for children really made my day! Music outside got everyone up & dancing.

We loved this place as it is a well maintained hotel with all the original features well preserved. The pub shuts at 11.00pm so you don't worry you won't be disturbed by the local revellers! The hotel has good sized rooms with a massive en-suite bathroom and a very comfy bed. (Very rare in the city hotels these days) Old... More

We stayed at the Yarra Glen Hotel in October, we had a lovely two day stay, the room was very comfortable, being old the floor boards creaked a bit, very minor. The continental breakfast was plentiful

We stayed a night in room 2 with the 4 poster queen bed. The bed was terrible, it should be in a museum! it was on a wire base and creaked everytime you moved. The floor boards throughout the top floor and the stairs creaked. It was very noisy so close to the main road. The vacuum cleaner had not... More

Lovely old world but comfortable hotel in Yarra Glen. Very good service and adequate continental breakfast in dining room. Previous reviews mentioned compressor noise and flaking paint and these were still evident. Great pub food on the dining room. Would stay again.

I write this review as I lay in bed waiting for the noise to die down from the punters outside my paper thin windows. The sporadic thuds resonating from downstairs makes getting to sleep near impossible. Add to that the sound of glass bottles being transferred from bin to bin and you have an untenable guest relationship. The atmosphere in... More
