Of the two motels in Yackandandah, we chose this one because it's slap bang in the middle of town. The price, $132, was reasonable. The owners seemed normal. I wouldn't decorate a small reception area with a large Australian flag and letters to the editor, but maybe that's just me. Clean, comfortable, nothing to really like, nothing to really dislike.

Everyone we asked told us not to go to "Yack" because it was not worth the effort and there was nothing there. Well, they were wrong and we also found that the Townshiphill Motel is a very worthwhile and comfortable stopover. The booking could not have been more haphazard or casual, but we were expected and the greeting was friendly... More

Room was neat. At a 196.00 it would want to be. For this you might expect a Hilton style experience certainly better than a 3 star dive. In future I will stay at the caravan park for 150 including spa. Good point is when the owner was pretending to be sweeping outside my room whilst my partner was still in... More

Only stayed one night but for a motel it has very clean nice large rooms with a sofa and table with two chairs as well as a queen bed. Large flat screen TV on the wall too is a nice bonus. Right in the centre of town makes eating out easy. A toaster is provided in the room but no... More

A lovely big room, good shower, and all facilities were fine, but we found it a bit expensive - $175 for one night in regional Victoria was a bit steep. That said, if you want a clean, quiet, well set up room in a lovely little town, this is perfect for you.

Russell and Merrill were excellent hosts. The room was large, light and very comfortable. After a bad experience in a B & B in the area, they really looked after me

We stayed at this motel Dec 30 and booked through lastminute.com. Very clean, freshly appointed and large rooms by small town standards. Husband wife team very friendly but disappointed with the analogue tele supplied. In the process of upgrading was the response, which seems to be the normal response from these country motels. The Top Pub just up the road... More
