Just returned yesterday from a mini break (2 nights) at this lovely historic sandstone hotel. I have always seen this hotel on the hill but never stayed there until now. From the minute we checked in we were delighted with all this hotel offered. Our room was a garden room with a view of the ocean. Large comfortable room with... More

Hotel Sorrento is a charming little hotel not far from the main town area. The room was great with a nice view. The nearby pub is good at first, but then as it gets darker, and more people go there, it starts to get a bit out of hand! Because the hotel car park/driveway has a shared path with the... More

We stayed here in both April and May 2014. On the both occasions we elected to stay in the Heritage Suites wanting to take advantage of a combination of the ocean views and the old world charm of this historic building. Initially I was a little disappointed, on the first occasion, that I was not able to secure the requested... More

Spent 2 nights here as part of a deal. Beautiful room watching storms on the bay. Comfortable and kept warm with reverse cycle air-conditioning heater. Breakfast included. Restaurant was cold for dinner. Think they need to turn the thermostat up a bit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I think the most enjoyable thing was the quiet cold of winter... More

Took advantage of a 3 night deal that included room, breakfasts and late check out! Even though we paid a budget price we were given a great room within the hotel with a water view and a huge balcony. Rooms have been refurbished in last few years and are as good as any 4 star hotel in a city. Had... More

Got a great room overlooking the bay. The room was nice and updated for an old hotel. There was a balcony that looked out to the water. Free breakfast in the morning that you would pay $25 for at any other place. Worth the money and in such a cute little town

stayed at the On The Hill Apartment at the Hotel Sorrento and can only say what a relaxing experience it was. The cold weather was no problem inside with a natural gas log fire warming the apartment. All amenities were there the bed was very comfortable and there was ample room to entertain guests. Breakfast was adequate with a good selection.... More

Excessive noise (screaming and yelling) from patrons exiting the establishment from 10.30pm onwards until early hours of the morning. Nice food, however poor service including slow service, no service, and some restaurant staff clueless.

Dear Shaan63, Thank you kindly for your feedback. I am sincerely disappointed that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Located on hill overlooking sea- some rooms. Somewhat disjointed addition of units separate from main building so rainy walk to breakfast- more like motel units. Room - comfortable & adequately appointed with garden view. Breakfast - limited menu choices but adequate. Staff helpful.

Beautiful old hotel. Staff were very nice and the restaurant clean. Waitress could not have been nicer. That being said, I like judging a hotel on their chicken Parma. What I was given was a luke warm chicken patty the size of a hamburger patty. There was no rate in it, very bland. The chips were in a bowl too,... More
