This is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There are many other choices in the area, so unless you're desperate then don't bother with this one. The rooms were dirty and full of countless blow-flies, when I complained I was given a can of flyspray.....aside from the poor service the issue is that the windows had torn... More

It appears you may have confused Pelicans Motel San Remo with somewhere else you have stayed, as many of your issues contradict the facilites and conditions offered here. During annual inspections, our rooms are judged to have a very high standard of cleanliness and facilities. All opening windows have fitted insect screens without holes or tears. Each room has a... It is in a quiet street, very comfortable beds, large TV, very clean throughout, Walking distance from town, Small room but It had a microwave, cutlery, plates, iron ironing board, DVD player, air con and a large ceiling fan over the bed. Not overpriced, It was very quiet and you could not hear your neighbours or anything.

A clean and comfortable old style hotel across the bridge from Phillip Island, in a quiet side street away from the noise and traffic of the highway. All units are ground floor with parking outside your unit. Walking distance to San Remo shops and the water. Breakfast available. I had a great night sleep in the room in comfortable bed... More

Stayed in San Remo for work, when we first looked at Pelican's last year there weren't too many reviews, a few more now I see. As I didn't pay for it I'm not commenting on value. As the other reviewers have noted, smallish rooms & the biggest plus was that everyone in our work group (x7) slept well and basically... More

After checking out several lodging options we went with Pelicans. They were the least expensive and had everything we were looking for - free WIFI, clean room, TV/ free DVDs and magazines etc. They were so kind and helpful when they found out we were going to the Penguin Parade that night - giving us a bag of blankets to... This place was amazing! Clean, friendly, and safe, the customer service was great. When our DVD player didn't work, they tried 3 different ones until it did, just so we could watch a DVD (they rent out DVDs for free). The WIFI worked great, and there was free parking. All in all a great choice!

the smallest room I had been to around the phillip island area. Linens had a heavy soil smell and spiders everywhere around the room. the staff at the front desk was not welcoming at all.... very rude manner Stayed there for a night and moved to Koala Motel on Phillip Island, for only $10 more per night, the room and... Located on a quiet street and less than 1/2 hour drive to penguin parade. Thanks for offering the blankets to us for the penguin parade on Phillip Island. The blankets kept us warm especially my elderly parents in a night with southerly breeze. The family room was clean and basic. The price was just nice for an overnight stay after... More

This motel was basic but very clean and a good place to stay when visiting Philip Island as most motels on the actual island can be quite expensive. The owners were extremely helpful and had brilliant knowledge of the local area and of the Blue penguins. They even provided us with free blankets to take onto the island to see... More

We chose this motel because it had a 'twin room' which has two separate beds, as we aren't a couple. Most of the other motels at Phillip Island didn't have this option for a similar price. Anyway, it was nice and what you expect for the price. The service was good, with the man at the desk giving us some... More
