I spent a night at the 'retreat' and was disappointed. I wasn't expecting much but it really was rather shabby. My friend wanted to stay there so I booked a standard room. It was upgraded for some reason. I don't know why because when I got there around 6 in the evening a message was left on the reception room... More

The hotel: average sized rooms; lovely garden views. Yoga classes on certain days. There is a lovely national reserve walk which you can get on from the back of the hotel. Saw a wild kangaroo hop past! Overall, it was a lovely eco-friendly healing getaway But the food: SO GOOD. The chef tries to source organic and local produce so... More

We booked in for a 2 night stay in a standard room. It was so small it didn't even have a cupboard to put clothes in and we had to step over our suitcases to get to the ensuite. Could have been cleaner with bugs in the sink, shower areas and on pillows. Noisy as our room was below the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in an executive suite. The bedroom was huge! There was also a decent sized sitting room, a kitchenette & a large bathroom. The organic shampoo & conditioner was a nice touch. We arrived quite late on the Friday night & decided to eat in. What a pleasant surprise! The food was absolutely delicious! We... More

For those looking for somewhere really peaceful and in a beautiful setting you can't go wrong. It's only just over 1 hour drive from Melbourne. I wa a bit in trepidation after reading some earlier comments but our experience was the room was fine and everything was clean and comfortable including the bathroom. No there is no tv in the... Great location and beautiful venue. The room was very nice and we had a great view from the room. I just think it's a bit cheeky that we had to pay extra for breakfast. (Room was very pricey. So they should at least include continental breakfast.)

This hotel was a real find. We had a lovely relaxing couple of days here. The room was large and pleasant although as it was midwinter you did need the heating on and we were lucky enough to have a real fire in our room. The location is fantastic. The mornington penisular is a really beautiful and quirky place. There... More

I recently booked one night here as a gift for my partner and was really dissappointed. The website doesn't give a good indication of what to expect in regards to the rooms. We ended up forfeiting the cost of the night and staying at another hotel as the room was tiny, the bin was an old used bucket, the room... More

Starting with the green-on-dark-green road sign that is easy to drive past, especially at night, there are strange faults at the Hummingbird. I have stayed there three times, so it has redeeming features, but the flaky wifi is an ongoing theme. This time it only worked in the office, and the man who would fix it was "in the snow"... More

Stayed for 4 nights with husband on Easter holiday long weekend, we had a wonderful hanging out around Red Hill and morning Pennisula. The hotel is like a hippi eco place with very simple setting, we knew it when we booked so we didn't mind that the room was not spotlessly clean, shower room/toilet was aged (water was very hot...
