This is a beautiful location. So peaceful with a room overlooking the vineyard. Unfortunately our initial wonder turned off quickly when we were "checked in". This manager did not want to be there at all. No greeting, no conversation. Our breakfast hamper was left outside our room, milk included while we were out. No toaster in the room. When asked... Very unfriendly and unwelcoming manager. He was not at all interested in being there or attending to guests. We were told not to light the fire unless it was really, really cold (it was 10 degrees, a tad chilly)! No lighting along path, pitch black at night, a little dangerous. Rooms with cobwebs, mouldy in the showers, generally the whole... More

We stayed here 3 nights and loved it. The breakfast was delicious, wine was lovely and the views were just beautiful. It was so relaxing sitting out on the deck, with a few reds and soaking up 'the serenity'. It's right in the heart of the peninsula so everything is at your doorstep. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our... More

We did not stay - we just came for lunch. The location was pleasant in a treed gully but the decor was very plain. Our order got lost. After more than an hour we got our entrees - both were excellent. We noticed that no other meals were being served and whispered explanations were going to other tables. We saw... More

I came for lunch with a few friends on the sunday before Queens birthday. The estate is absolutely beautiful. We walked around for a bit before we sat down for lunch. The grounds are stunning, with a resident donkey and sheep for the kids (and adults) to pat. For lunch I was surprised at the good value. We were able... More

Went to Mantons Creek Estate for lunch on the long weekend. Service was impeccable and our surroundings were welcoming and homely. It was such a lovely atmosphere while eating our meals. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. 3 courses and a glass of wine for $45. I recommend the 'Humphrey' red wine, very nice with the steak main course.... More

Brought my mother here for wine tasting. I believe it was Robby (?) who walked us through the tasting and was very friendly and informative. Love the way he described the types of events paired with each wine! We enjoyed it so much we came back the week after and spent the entire afternoon. The scenery is stunning and the... More

The accommodation is comfortable ,the setting delightful ,there is is so much potential . Although a minor thing the mattresses on the bed are vinyl ,they are extremely hot ,there is a fabric protector on them but the actual mattress is not a fabric covering .However the reason for my review is about the manager . He is totally disengaged... More

We first stayed here one year ago and the service/food was very good. We decided to come back a year later and found the service a bit lower in standard. According to another review here the Vineyard has changed ownership which explains why its no longer called "Fredrick's" as this was the name of the previous owner's son I believe....... More

This is a very pretty property located in a valley and out of the way and very pleasant on a warm sunny day. We sat outside on the deck for lunch on a Sunday and enjoyed average food well presented. The place has been renovated and has new management but the service was non existent and appeared disorganized. They had... More
