This hotel has been sold, despite this our booking was accepted and we arrived to a key hidden outside under a cushion but no staff, no service, no TV or wifi, but luckily a sparse breakfast supplied by a casual worker hooked in for the two days. There was no personnel around on our departure and the owners now are... More

This place should not be charging $215.00 a night, you could do better at the backpackers. No staff no restaurant no bar, deserted run down dump, don't even consider it. amazing what they can do with a camera.

Reading the reviews and you'll get a good sense of both the good and the bad that The Queenscliff Hotel offers. We came for a quiet family overnight stay and had a pleasant experience. Yes, there's no TV or Wifi, the bar was closed, the beds were small and you couldn't walk anywhere without a giant creaking noise emanating from... More

We looked on the website and saw a magnificent old hotel with a gorgeous dining room,a bar and café, a deluxe bedroom of grand proportions with antique furniture and beautiful curtains. We booked a deluxe room and got - no dining, bar or café (they closed before Christmas well before we booked), a bedroom a quarter the size of the... More

The building just ooses history. Yes the rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, upgrade to deluxe if you can. Yes, no tv's - what plus. Great comfortable sitting rooms with a wide array of reading material - choice of 3 each with their own character and ambiance. Courteous and attentive staff. Great central location. Restaurant currently closed, but staff... More

Having stayed at this spectacular boutique period hotel a couple of times over the last 20 years, it is difficult to describe the disappointment. Although warned that the bar or restaurant had closed indefinitely, we were not prepared for the bleak atmosphere of a museum. I suppose the recent death of the energetic manager explains it all. The hotel has... More

Located centrally in Queenscliff only 100metres and a Park from the beach, this classic Victorian Hotel is a charmer. Previously owned and operated by the legendry Mietta it is like walking into a time warp. The ground floor is a wonderful mix of original drawing rooms, bar and dining room. Our bedroom was neat and compact with original Victorian fittings,... More

Perfectly situated close to the beach and town - short walks to both. Loved the history of this 1887 heritage treasure with many of its original fittings & fixtures in place with modern amenities to the rooms. Beautiful great room, sitting rooms and reception with ornate floors & stained glass windows. The included breakfast was well presented in a beautiful... More

Great looking building but that's where it ends it needs a good clean and a make over is well overdue. Sorry to say but the place is a shambles staff are not interested rooms are the worst I've ever stayed in if I'd paid for an economy motel room I would have said to my self well that's what you...
