This is a grand 19th century building with atmospheric dining and sitting rooms just across from Queenscliff beach. If you come here don't expect a generic Hyatt/Sheraton etc experience because it was built in the 19th century, not 2 years ago. This was our third visit in the last few years and we will definitely come back. The staff were... More

I know the hotel has had mixed reviews but we had a fabulous stay and dinner in the restaurant. The hotel is old school, old world charm!!!!!! so if you are after wifi and flat screen TV's this is not for you. The staff were so welcoming and eager to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant was just as good.... More

Booked this hotel for 21 people. Management are not very accommodating. In fact I would say damn right rude. Our hostess was very nice but slow. For we spent over $1700 just on lunch and for this we received nothing but attitude. Even our aged father was about to be asked to leave one of the sitting rooms even though... More

If you're looking for a place to stay, the Queenscliff hotel is not the place to stay as their rooms are quite terrible. The beds were like sleeping on a footpath because they were uncomfortable, the staff were't very welcoming, we had to wait at the bar half an hour just to get a couple of drinks, the windows kept... Stayed here last weekend . Place is defiantly a step back in time and very old. It's a beautiful old building that needs a it of work just to bring standards up not to change the heritage as such. Rooms are very basic and could use a big lift for the price . You could have a mini bar etc... More

Spent one night at the hotel. Delightful heritage listed building with many antiques, some a little quirky and some in need of refurbishment, but overall creating a good impression. Room was old fashioned with a new en suite, which was clean and equipped with shower only; no bath. Bed was standard double bed on brass base and despite its small... More

I've read many of the reviews and they really are quite mixed. I think it's fair to say, if you want luxury with all mod cons this is not the place for you. If you do, however, want something very old and traditional you will love this place. I don't mind either so I'm fairly happy to please!! The building... More

What a rip off! Dishonest owner. Lies and a total lack of integrity. Made a booking on May the 26th 2013 for a proposed one night stay 6 months later, on the 30th December 2013, and due to commitments, I rang the next morning, the 27th of May 2013 (I have records on my Telstra mobile phone statement to support... The location of the Queenscliff Hotel, and the building itself, are spectacular. But this once grand hotel venue is in real need of refurbishment. The reception rooms contain antique furniture and paintings, and the foyer contains an extravagant floral display, but the stairs need recarpeting. Our room for the weekend was a bit shabby and the ensuite was cramped and... More
