This is a very expensive place, and it fell short of expectations in several key areas. Our room was adequate, but rather small and basic. There was a pleasant private balcony, complete with an ashtray that no one had bothered to empty. We were informed that our dinner reservation had been lost, but that they would “… try and fit... more

Definitely the best place to stay in Queenscliff. Vue Grand/Queenscliff Hotel so overpriced and do not provide value like this place. Freindly staff absolutely awesome breakfast included in the room rate. Modern rooms, very clean and we very much enjoyed our stay there. Would recommend (and have done so) the place to our friends. more

What a great find! Was tempted to book at the Vue Grand, however on a previous trip had coffee at this place on the balcony. Quirky and comfortable. Every single person we encountered from check in to check out was very friendly, smiled, and nothing was too much trouble. We were personally shown to our room. The restaurant is fantastic,... more

A nice looking building...the oldest guest house in Queenscliffe built around 1860. The rooms were O.K. although we had to upgrade to a better one. After staying in Oscars in Port Fairy...see review it was a bit of a downer. The place was querky but you couldn't call it luxurious. The saving grace was their excellent bistro...had one of the... more

We caught the ferry over from sorrento with our car across the bay which was a lovely trip. The hotel was a 5 min. drive from the ferry and it was such a pleasure to be in the hands of professionals who showed us to our room and efficiently discussed the features of the room and encouraged us to reserve... more

Athelstane House is a beautiful B&B which puts you in the mind of large Victorian houses in New England. On the ground floor is a restaurant and café, with various outdoor seating options on a veranda or in a courtyard, and there is an upstairs veranda for the use of all guests. Additionally, our room had a cosy little wooden... more

Very pleasant guesthouse (plus restaurant) with a modern touch. We stayed the first night in the deluxe room which was very comfortable albeit a bit noisy in the morning when the deliveries started for the grocer shop next door. Well situated within easy walk of most restaurants, beach etc Dinner and breakfast were both very good. more

A pleasant boutique guesthouse well located near the main street and waterfront of the trendy and upmarket town of Queenscliff. We were in a large, private room which was on the second storey. It was light and airy with three large windows that face towards the ocean. The bathroom was well appointed with a large spa bath. A small gripe... more
