7 of us stayed 2 nights whilst traveling around Omeo. Great feeds at the bar each night and the rooms were comfortable. Staff were friendly and looked after us. Shared bathrooms for us but that was ok.

Husband and I stayed here one night before travelling the Omeo Highway. We felt like we'd stepped back into history. The hotel rooms had a distinct flavour of days gone by. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was included. The dining room meals were of top standard and reasonably priced. Delicious home style cooking at its best.

We just drove up and grabbed a room, no problem , took a top floor room , very clean and comfy ,Nice hotel room, good pub food Friendly staff , great experience of the alpine country. Compared with the ripoffs above the snow line this place is much better value

We've stayed before, but as it was fully booked when we wanted to visit, we stayed in a motel across the road and had our meals here. Although it almost has a monopoly in town, we thought the meals and drinks were really reasonably priced and really excellent quality. We ate here two nights in a row and none of... More

Do yourself a favour and spend a night or two here at this hotel. We had rode down from Wangaratta over Mt Hotham and down into Omeo. We booked a balcony room No:10 with breakfast. Our stay was enjoyable right from the start with a lovely cold ale out the front watching the comings and goings then a few more... More

Would I stay here again if passing through? Yes. Would I stay here for a longer period? No. We booked two classes of rooms (all that was left on a weekend with a local event) from the best room type with spa to family suite (both with balcony frontage). The direct access to wide balcony overlooking town is an asset. Decor... More

Overnight on a trip across the mountains, good experience, good room, 5. "Tambo"' very spacious. It's the place to be for a meal as it's was a popular place to eat, a lot of bike tourers enjoying the Pub. Food good quality, with generous serves. Tariff included cooked breakfast, which was good country fare. Would recommend the experience!

This is the third pub built on this site , the previous one burnt down in the 1939 fires. A friendly country pub , good menu , helpful staff. Good value meal .Accommodation is also available but we had booked elsewhere. This would be a good place to base yourself for a few days to explore the area.

Booked as part of a brief Vic country tour with overseas visitors. Great place to stay, have a beer and dine. The rooms were dated, but clean and spacious. We booked upstairs rooms on the verandah and I would suggest these are the best for a view and space to sit and chat with a quiet drink or two. The... More

Gotta agree, many other pub owners should visit and see how it's done. We stayed here on a Thursday night. Booked ahead luckily as there was a large group of blokes on jap bikes staying. We arrived and unloaded our stuff into one of the upstairs balcony rooms, clean and tidy with an ensuite, also with a sizable deep bath,... More
