We spent two nights in the Fernwood Cottage and was not disappointed. We were escorted to our room and given a quick overview by Lesley who was lovely and very welcoming. On a cold afternoon, our wood heater was going which was very cosy and warm. Nice touches with breakfast (you want for nothing!) port and chocolates and nice music... More

We stayed for 2 nights in Fernwood Cottage. Well appointed with lovely furniture and four poster bed overlooking fire that had been lit in anticipation of our arrival and our names written on the door.Forest outlook and very private. There is a separate room with relaxing hot tub we thoroughly enjoyed. Port, chocolates and shortbread as well as breakfast provisions... More

We stayed for two nights in Forest cottage (arrived Mon left Wed) and it was just the best blend of rustic charm whilst still providing creature comforts. This was booked through "Wotif" only because I received vouchers from work mates and my nieces for my 50th. Arcadia had been an accidental find, but what a find. We'll go back to... More

The only problem with staying at Arcadia Cottages is that you have to leave - and the only thing that makes leaving bearable is knowing that you can come back. We stayed in Olinda Cottage, a cosy haven decorated in cream, muted blues and golds. We arrived on a wet, wintry night to find a fire laid, port and chocolates... More

We stayed in the forest cottage and it was amazing. The nice host had the fire going for us and a fantastic breakfast waiting in the fridge. The glass outside area with the spa bath was the best part. I couldn't recommend this place enough it was just perfect. The property is also stunning.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay (Wed to Sat nights) in the Treehouse Cottage in May 2014. The total cost for our stay was AUD$1184 and included welcome boutique biscuits, port & chocolates, a bottle of wine and a huge amount of breakfast provisions (10 eggs, bacon, sausages, 2 loaves of crusty bread, butter, tomatoes, porridge, cereal, milk, teas, coffee,... We have stayed at Arcadia a number of times now as a beautiful rejuvenating and romantic escape close to the city. The surroundings are stunning, close to Olinda and Mt Dandenong, and Lesley and Michael are welcoming hosts. We'll be back!

My stay at Arcadia Cottages was nothing short of wonderful! Lesley could not do enough to help me enjoy my time at the property. I was actually travelling for work (in Melbourne) and so I decided to stay outside the city. Olinda and the property was a lovely alternative to the city hotels and not too far away from the... More

Lesley & Michael are such generous and welcoming hosts! All the added extras and decor truly made it a home away from home. I instantly forgot about my busy city life when I arrived and felt truly peaceful from the moment I set foot in my cottage. The calm & cosy feel of the cottage, the beautiful gardens, the beautiful... More

We paid 400 a night for this tree-house cottage. It looked very big and nice on the pictures but in reality it is so small that when you go in the front door you trip over the back gate. The place is very dirty and there is a horrible smell in the room, we saw blood on the blanket, mold... More

Michael R, Owner at Arcadia Cottages, responded to this review

Seems rather a radical and unfounded review. During the declared period of stay we have not had a guest called Harry M stay with us and we have not charged anyone $400 a night to stay in our Treehouse Cottage. This cottage is $280 / night mid-week and weekends is a minimal 2 night stay at $680. We did have... More
